Someone tell me the pass defense is still ok.

I know there is no Von Miller or Champ but this pass defense is pathetic. If Denver doesnt win it all this year it will be because of the pass defense.

Dallas is the best offense they've faced all year, and they clearly got up for this game. Defense has looked bad, but you can't take away from the Cowboys either.

Part of the pass defense all season has been the number of pass attempts against the Broncos. That is part of it today as well, combined with this being the best offense the Broncos have faced thus far. With that said, this is likely going to be the worst defensive performance of the season. Not every offense has what the Cowboys have. If this is the worst we see of the defense all year, I can live with it, as long as they fix the problem and improve. Next week they get the most anemic offense in the league, then they get Von Miller back.

Pass defense has a lot of work. Defense as whole has a lot of work to do. But in the end, even when everything goes right for the opponent, this Broncos team has shown it can still get the win. Manning with a pick and Decker with a fumble offset the Romo pick and Bryant fumble.

The defense did just enough to pull it out.

A lot of work to do... Del Rio will be on them all week... Champ hopefully is back next week and then Miller. Phillips has done great but the pass rush will be a problem for teams in the future... I didnt like it either but we still won the game and we will learn from the mistakes

The Broncos have some work to do, but they played a very good offense with a lot of weapons. The Cowboys put up 500+ yards of offense and 48 points and they still lost. The defense came up with enough key stops to make the difference. Not every team is going to be able to perform the way the Cowboys did today.

I understand it is no guarantee but it does push Webster and carter to the sideline as both got picked on all day. Also moves DRC to the 2nd receiver so that dhould help. Throw in more pressure from Von and Phillips. It won't solve everything but if our offense keeps going like they are we only need the defense to improve a little more

But it is the first time this season where the defense did not shut down an opponent for an extended period of time. That's why it was so close. The defense has been good enough through the first four games that they've shut down opponents for long stretches in games. That didn't happen tonight. Part of that is they had a bad night, and part of that is the Cowboys played a great game. The fact that I can credit the Cowboys should indicate I'm not being a homer. At the end of the day, the defense had three key stops, two of them being turnovers, and that was enough to make the difference.

Next week is Jacksonville. If the Jags have a season high offensive production then I may be worried. But the Cowboys in their house getting up for a big game...I have to give them some credit. That's not being a homer. In fact, it's the opposite.

Great points! Dallas was definitely playing this game like it was the Super Bowl.

Witten is a bad mismatch for the Broncos fast, but small LBers. Poor open field tackling and younger guys out of position a lot today.

If Miller was playing, no way Romo has that big of a day. Refs let the Cowboys O-line get away with holding all day.

Dez Bryant pushed off on that TD catch and no whistle.

13 points came off of turnovers and we more than likely would have scored on those drives.

We dodged a bullet and hopefully it is a wake up call for this team.
