very true, but.......
Even if we magically fixed all our other issues, the defense is so horrible it wouldnt matter.

:thumb: like I said in another thread.. I love this guy in the locker room. & more than willing to keep him around until he becomes our LB coach. he is important to this team even when he isnt on the field. (& I dont really say that about a lot of players)

but I agree. it is ashamed he couldnt stay healthy. he would have been a HOFer in my opinion.
I agree the D is worse off than the OL, but there's not much help available out there at the moment.

yeah. We are probably looking at a top ten pick (unless we accidentally win the division)

well you are right it wont matter. We will still lose games with this defense regardless.
My point is our offense would play way better with him than Dalton. (so he would make a difference on the offense)
I'm not so sure the O would be better with Fitzgerald.

I know we disagree on this, but I am completely positive he would.
He can get the ball out quickly. He gives no fucks so he isnt afraid. Also not afraid to bull over a defender for some yards running.
Dalton is so afraid of making a mistake he kills drives. I'll take the 1 or 2 picks & moving the offense (keeping the defense off the field) & scoring some points. vs Daltons 3-5 play drives & punting.

Our crappy division is the only reason we'd make the playoffs.

Out of curiosity what are you basing this on? That hasn't been his MO in the past. He has always taken chances and was kind of known for it and has always thrown downfield and 50/50 type balls to guys like Green...and he only played one game here and that was probably behind one of the worst OLs any of us has ever seen in a regular season game.

Exactly. That is totally unfair to judge him on one game especially that one.

Thoughts on Quinnen Williams? I think I would trade a 2nd round pick for him. We going to need help for Dline anyway

While I agree. not completely fair to judge him on one game. Not going to agree totally unfair.
He did the same shit the entire game. go to make his quick or 1st throw. Pulled it down because the guy wasnt open enough. & then the play is shit after that. Either taking defenders or dumping it off behind the line a scrimmage for shit gains. Punt. the only time we scored is when their defense was in 2 min/4 min defense. Once at halftime & once near the end of the game. Other than that the only thing that saved us from punting was turnovers!

Would love to see him prove me wrong this weekend, but I believe this is the QB we will have with him this year.
The only we we move the ball is by running. Which means Zeke has to hold on to the damn thing LOL
Dalton is not a rookie learning the speed of the game. Waiting for him to improve. he is a vet. If he is unwilling to pull the trigger, then that is who he is. I dont expect that to change overnight.

Hopefully you & Jarntt are right. he improves. The line isnt gonna get any better anytime soon so it will have to be him.

I think it is 100% a different game without those fumbles. We still don't win, but we would have been able to follow the game plan more. The turnovers kept us from scoring more than they kept us from punting.

I'm not saying he is going to be much better because the OL is going to have problems and he is not a mobile or shifty guy so they likely are going to beat the snot out of him, but Fitz would have the same problems

The main reason I think a guy like Williams is a great move is because it is a long term move that helps us immediately. He is dirt cheap for 3 years and he would be our best run stopper the day he walks in the door and this team needs a run stopper yesterday

Dolphins OL was dogshit last year & Fitz was still able to score & even win games with a horrible team. (our offense has a ton better talent than his did)
His mindset to me is just 100% better than Daltons. Again Fitz knows he will be a backup & supposed to be. So he plays carefree.
Dalton at least I believe thinks if he doesnt make mistakes he will get another shot at starting somewhere. Which atleast last week. he played really tight.

Has to one of Dallas greatest picks ever.
& I was a smart man & drafted him in my keeper league :suds:
I figured from the get go he would become our main guy by seasons end. (yeah I have high expectations of him)
So he can be one of my keepers next year.

Kinda glad they asked him to wear the 88. he will do Drew pearson & Michael Irvin proud :thumb:
