I know many probably don't agree with me and that I have said this a few times already, but I also see a very good chance that we cut ties with Cooper in 2 years if Gallup and Lamb prove their value. The contract was structured to do so and it is the perfect contract to restructure (this year or next) if we need cap space and IF we plan on keeping him long term. It's great to have 3 good WRs, but not at the expense of shoring up other positions with bigger needs and in a cap world you can't try to keep everyone.

I’ve been saying the very same thing. That time frame coincides with Gallup’s new deal coming up as well. And if Coop can’t stay healthy (which might be a lot to ask based on his history) then choices will be required. And the structure of his contract makes that particular choice a bit easier to digest than others.

For a few of us here, this man defined what we would consider a “NFL Safety”. There are only a couple I would put above him in the “Greatest Ever” category at Safety. An absolute all time great.
