I think Mac should turn the playcalling over to Schotty and run a read option based offense like the one he ran with Seattle when Russell Wilson was younger. I think that's the only way we move the ball going forward
Lol, that not happening. They going to start Rush for sure. They also going to keep feeding Zeke because Jerry loves Zeke

They could luck out and beat the Giants or Panthers, but I have my doubts Rush can even beat those teams.

Now they face another upcoming blow out against the Texans. Maybe they move on from McCarthy after this game.

The only positive I saw yesterday is I think they may have a legit player in Richards. He looked better than Chaz is all I know. and Overshown is showing he can pressure the QB. He was a beast yesterday.

I was happy to see Richards play we because I'm hearing some very negative shit about Guyton.
If we start Rush the rest of the way and keep feeding Zeke I think even the Giants and Panthers games are in question

We are officially a clown show. Podcast Parsons and his buddy don’t care about their coach and probably about their team and probably don’t want to be here anymore. Congratulations Jerrah - you broke the Boyz!

What are you hearing about Guyton other than a bust?

I did hear an interesting take on QB this morning. If the Cowboys end up with a top 5 pick and say Cam Ward or Jalen Milroe are on the board. The Cowboys would actually have some leverage on Dak for the first time ever. Take the young franchise kid, let him sit behind Dak for a year or two(provided Dak can stay healthy), and then say ok Dak, we are going to go with the kid. Do you want to waive your no trade clause and have a say in where we trade you, or do you want to get paid for watching someone else play the next 2-3 years? While your cap would get smashed the year or even 2 years that you let him go, the upside would be you would have a young franchise QB with another 4-5 years of control and likely a couple of extra 1st round picks that you picked up for Dak to build with. That might be my 3 year plan to right this Titanic ship
If Dak would agree to a trade it could happen as soon as 2026 and would help our cap situation. But, I don't see it happening., If Dak doesn't play better, by 2026 he will have zero trade value at that salary and we would need to eat cap to move him and If he does play better I don't think Jerry will trade him. We could cut him in 2026 and still help our cap if we don't restructure him next year...but we WILL restructure him next year. The only thing the incompetent Jones Boyz handle worse than roster managementment and trades/free agency is the cap. I'm quite confident we will screw it up

You're right and I know it won't happen. It's just what I would do. I know a lot of people love the Sanders kid, but I think Ward and Milroe both have great potential as Quarterbacks. I do think Jerry is kicking himself for caving and resigning Dak now. Things really couldn't have worked out better to get a young QB than to have a top 5-6 pick

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones when asked on @1053thefan about what kind of repercussions he and Jerry Jones face when the team isn’t good:“I just think we have to look at how we get better. And that’s what we’ll continue to do. We’ve had a good run where we won 12 games (in three consecutive seasons). I think only Kansas City did a better job. But at the same time, we didn’t have the success in the postseason that we wanted.“And then, of course, to have this situation happen is certainly disappointing. It’s disappointing for anybody who follows the Cowboys, who thinks about the Cowboys as their team. They deserve better than that, and we’ll continue to look for ways to improve upon that.”

At the same time? That's literally all that matters. :L

we even recycle our own rejects. "we like our guys" has never been more on point. That being said Grier should probably be starting for us the rest of the year because the other two stink

Cooper Rush will remain QB1 this week. The Texans D is gonna eat him alive

Maybe he can manifest his inner Baker Mayfield. Watching Baker yesterday stiff arm Joey Nosa almost all the way over to the sidelines and still get off a completed pass for a first down was something I quite enjoyed.

If Cooper tried to stiffarm Bosa, Bosa would yank his arm off and beat him with it lol. That was a Heck of a great play by Mayfield

Around the league

Just wondering what people thought about Dan Campbell’s decision last night to set up for a 52 yard FG for the win. He kicked it on a 3rd down, had a timeout , and 40 seconds left that he let run down to 4. Everything Dan Campbell is turning up right now is Aces.

I thought the Zimmer effort was noticed in half one. I also think Kendricks plays the game with a heart of a lion.

This game has passed both by.

Shame, this team sure needs an authoritative voice.

Our owner cares more about his ego, his image and his stupid stadium than he does football example number 50:

imagine a WR having to deal with this in an NFL stadium when there is a simple solution to stopping it? The man is a joke.
