maybe but IMHO we need to open everything up to competition new kicker punter all need to be looked at . LP as the long snapper needs looked at 2 even though he is one of the best

Unless the goal is just to cut salary, the one guy we don't have to look at is LP. You can't be better than perfect

And I will root for him to do well.

I'd be OK with Witten coming back if it were in a reduced role but honestly I wouldn't mind if he just retires. He played 75% of Offensive snaps and that is just not best for the team (Jarwin played 38%). I said before last season we needed to bring in a TE who could block. It was a huge need last year and it was obvious during the year that it was hurting us and it is still a huge need. Why does this team not see the obvious so many times? Jarwin is as good of a pass catcher as all but a little more than a handful of TEs in the league. But we really need to add a TE that can block.
