On another note: I would love to have Troy as our GM but like he said, it will never happen.
I would keep Jones. He is our most reliable CB. Although he is not great, he is solid.
Good question. It will be an interesting off season for sure.If we pay Dak and Amari , do we have enough money for Jones.?? That’s probably 14-15 mil / yr.
Yes, if we want to. We have $88M in space next year and also Crawford could be cut saving $8M (or restuctured)If we pay Dak and Amari , do we have enough money for Jones.?? That’s probably 14-15 mil / yr.
I wouldn't pay Jones that kinda money. I'd draft another corner in round 1....maybe another in round 3.If we pay Dak and Amari , do we have enough money for Jones.?? That’s probably 14-15 mil / yr.
I looked at some of the mock drafts and there appears to be some good corners and safeties in this draft. We may have a great shot at getting one or two. I would not over pay for Jones at this point.I wouldn't pay Jones that kinda money. I'd draft another corner in round 1....maybe another in round 3.
Jones has benefited mostly cause the other side is too easy not to attack....which has a lot to do with coaching.
Jones has zero ball skills and in no way worth that kinda pay, in my not so humble opinion
Aikman took more vicious hits during his rookie season than QBs like Brady,Rodgers,Brees have taken in their entire careers. They did not coddle QBs back then like they do nowIt’s a goddamn shame how Aikman’s career ended. Dude deserved better.
I agree. Jones covers well, but at some point a corner needs to pick more than one pass off in a seasonI wouldn't pay Jones that kinda money. I'd draft another corner in round 1....maybe another in round 3.

What makes you think he wouldn't? He was the #1 pick overall out of college, he won 3 Super Bowls and is in the HOF. He played QB and his job the last ten years has been watching film and becoming an expert on the players in today's game. He's smart, a leader, has a great work ethic, and loves this organization. Oh, and most important, he has the sand to tell Jerry how it is and enough of a relationship with him that he might get away with it. Tell me your list of stronger candidates...to work for Jerry. Love to hear them. What makes you think Troy would be a good GM?
Elliott Wolf would be a great pick if Jerry lets him run the show. What makes you think he wouldn't? He was the #1 pick overall out of college, he won 3 Super Bowls and is in the HOF. You must be joking lol. He got his job because of his daddy, spent most of his career in personnel and as an Assistant GM for the Packers, who have had the most talented QB's in the game fore his entire tenure, and struggled to fill holes around them. PassElliott Wolf would be a great pick if Jerry lets him run the show.
Wentz played good in the 2nd half, not great, not awesome, and if the Giants offense had even mild success in the 2nd half the Giants most likely win that game. Are u serious? He was freaking awesome the 4rth quarter. He was throwing to converted QBs and 5th string WRs. Not to mention he was running for his life most plays. I’ve never heard of the RB that was kicking ass. That’s what I’m talking about though - Wentz team sucks - he rose up and kicked ass. I don’t care who it was against.

I’m sticking to my guns and saying he had a great second half. Maybe his stats weren’t. I don’t know. It seems like he had about 95 yards at the half. I know he threw about 50 times. I can’t believe all of backlash this comment has caused. I normally don’t rip other teams or any players. I seriously thought the guy deserved to be benched at halftime the other night considering the circumstances of the way the Eagles have played over the last month. Honestly I watch them play a lot because they are our biggest threat right now. His numbers for the year are not indicative of the way he has played. His numbers look pretty good. I think he has been very average to below the majority of the year. Now two years ago before he was injured , I thought he was MVP. A lot of there off-season was spent on him getting the ball out quicker and not taking so many hits. Well, the second half the other night he did that for the most part. I thought he really put his team on his back and carried them to victory. Of course it was against the lowly Giants , who were for some reason playing very inspired football. Their sights should be set on the first pick of the draft right now. They have a chance to get their next Lawrence Taylor, Strahan, JPP.
I’m not real sure how this turned into some supposed agenda for me to be anti Dak or whatever. I simply stuck my foot in my mouth by saying there needs to be a Qb competition in Philly. The second half Wentz shut me and his booing fans up.
Keep beating that dead horse. It may wake up. LOL
