I see his point, and he's right.

If he's talking about the cities, then a SB championship would mean more to Seattle since they don't have any and Denver already has 2.

Remember how much that first one meant to you Denver fans?

I understand the first one means the most. We are talking though here about fan bases and I can guarantee the Denver fan base is larger and has cared more deeply about their team than that of Seattle. The Broncos have been one of the more historic franchises in the NFL and like I said above one of the most loyal. I mean we are talking like 40 years of games being sold out in Denver. There have been some great seasons in there but there have been some down right terrible ones as well yet the fan base has stayed loyal.

So now to me I think the Bronco fans say 20 years from now would appreciate this Super Bowl a whole heck of a lot more than that of Seattle. For me personally I would love nothing more than to tell my grandchildren 20 years from now about this game and getting the great joy of watching Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey, and the rest of the Broncos win this game.

The Denver fan base cares more deeply about the outcome than the Seattle fan base? Cripes.

You know who REALLY cares? That asshole with the Seattle tattoo on his wrist!!!

Oh sheesh I've sat by guys at Bronco games that had the Bronco emblem tattooed over their heart. Both fan bases care about their team and both fan bases have a few crazies. Heck there are Bronco fans spending thousands of dollars in Denver right now just on billboards to make fun of the Seahawks.

This whole "We're a historically better fanbase of a historically better franchise" we've been hearing all year is going to make this win so much sweeter.

And BTW, I went to high school with that tattoo guy. He was a jerkoff then too.

It's not the tattoo itself, it's the indelibly decorated SB outcome predicted in it that makes it stupid.

Defense wins Championships. The Seahawks have the secondary that can matchup with Denver's receivers. The Broncos are going to have a much more difficult time running the ball than they did against the Patriots that's for sure. I don't think Peyton will be able to stand in the pocket for 5 or 6 seconds either.

My pick is Seattle.

Well that's good because he doesn't do that anyway. His average time from snap to release is under 2.5 seconds.

The Broncos receivers are going to have a much tougher time getting open than they did against the Patriots & Chargers.

That's probably true, but it still won't require Manning to hold the ball for 5 or 6 seconds.

Comparing the Seahawks D to the Patriots & Chargers is like comparing apples & oranges. I expect the Broncos to put up some points. In fact I was surprised they didn't put up over 40 against New England, but the Seahawks D is legit. What makes this Super Bowl interesting for me is I don't think people are giving the Broncos D enough credit. Granted when Manning is able to keep the ball away from Brady for 7 or more minutes almost every drive it makes his teams D look good.

Watching all this TV and thinking to much is already getting to me. Every sports show keeps asking how Seattle can keep up with that offense and nobody seems to have the answers. Its as if the Lombardi is a sure thing for Denver already. Also, you have the feel good stories with the Broncos that America seems to want with Manning overcoming his injury to have the greatest season ever, Fox overcoming his heart attack to coach them to one of the best seasons ever, Welker being able to say I told you so to his old coach, etc,,,,. Then you have half of america hating Sherman and talks of how Seattles offense isn't that great, etc,,,. Makes me wonder if Seattle should even bother to show up.

Gee, it sounds like Jerome Bettis going home to Detroit to win the Super Bowl for Pittsburgh. We all know how that turned out. It was probably the worst officiated game in NFL history.

They're gonna do a whole lot more than just show up. Denvers O is in for a rude awakening against that Hawks secondary. I believe this is a perfect match up for Seattle in my opinion. If Russel Wilson plays well it could be long day for Denver.

The exact opposite of this statement is true as well. Until the game kicks off it's all speculation. The Seahawks secondary has not yet had to cover a group of receiving threats like the Broncos. The Broncos have not gone up against a secondary as fundamentally sound and physically talented as the Seahawks. My guess is they're both going to get their blows in at some point.

Here is what few people are talking about, lost in the enticement of the Seahawks Defense vs the Broncos Offense. But what about the Seahawks Offense and the Broncos Defense? That's a less glamorous matchup I realize, but just as vital to the outcome of this game.

And like the Seahawks D vs Broncos O, it also pits the Seahawks offensive strength against the Broncos defensive strength. That is, run-heavy offense going up against a defense allowing just 70 yards per game over its past 4 games. It also pits the Seahawks below average pass game against the Broncos below average pass defense.

Denvers receivers are average(made better than avg by Manning), and until Taliq got hurt they weren't doing much against a uncomparable secondary with good field/weather. This hawks secondary is a whole new level and weather and field conditions are almost guaranteed to favor the run game.

We beat Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, Jimmy Graham, Lance Moore, and Darren Sproles twice. Of course they're different, but to say Seattle hasn't faced a group full of receiving threats is wrong.

Not sure you can compare the two units. Jimmy Graham would be the only starter from that group on the Broncos team. Colston would be a toss up with Decker but otherwise don't think you can compare the two groups.

You can't blame us for the mix up. You simply said, "Denver". This could have referred to either the city or the players themselves.

If you were talking about the city of Denver, then yes - I agree.

So you speak for the city of Denver?

Strange, never seen you hanging around town.

:lame:

This is an absolutely ludicrous statement.

It's been 15 years. The fans want it baldy.

Kind of like comparing KC's secondary to Seattles?

Not the point.

A Lombardi means more to a city that has none than it does to a city that has 2 already.
