I actually agree about Denver. They were flirting with titles for 20 years before they won one and were the only show in town for years.

But some of those other places "die hard" image coincided with their success.

I can agree with that. Part of that though was a lot of those franchises were the first in the NFL or the ones to at least begin to put the NFL on the map. So yes the titles helped grow the fan base but even from the beginning many of those areas football was everything. Look at Green Bay yes they won early so that helped but there isn't anything else up there than the Packers.

Now for the Broncos our fan base has been incredible for years and will be for years to come. Even though there are some other sports franchises in Denver the Broncos still dominate and I don't see that going away. A Super Bowl would mean more to Denver than any other trophy that the other teams could win.

And like I said since this franchise even before they were good was loyal and will be for years to come I can see this trophy meaning more to Denver 20 years down the road than say another team.

i will lean towards the hawks but it's just a slight lean. i do think the wrong team is favored so if i was going to put money on this one, it would be seahawks +2

meh.....I fully expect Denver to get their Lombardi hat trick, while Seattle gets relegated to bridesmaid status once again.

I agree. I think Denvers defense shuts down Lynch long enough for Manning to put enough points on the board that Lynch will be riding pine for a while. If Denver is up by 14, Lynch is not on the field.

The best way to defend Lynch is with long, sustained drives that end in TD's. Get ahead by a fair margin and keep Lynch off the field.

Not saying it's going to be a blow out or that it will be easy but I think the Broncos put up enough points to take Lynch out of the game at some point.

The Seahawks aren't going to win this with Wilson's arm.

You are just guessing.
I'm not going to take the time to go over stats, but the Seahawks don't panic when down 14+.
This year we have been down by over 14 at the half and have come back to win. Marshawn remains an integral part even when we are behind.
BTW, we have not been down by 14 late in the 4th qtr for 3 years IIRC! Late in a game down by 2 TDs minimum does remove the run game, but we have not had to make that decision.

Please show me where I said you'd panic.

I just said that if you're down by 14, Lynch will find himself on the bench.

By all means....if you find yourself down by 14 to the Broncos.....keep running it. Please. I dare you.

Well, I won't be out there making the play calls.

If you're telling me they are down by 14 with 8 min left in the game I can see your point, other than that they will continue to do what they do... they won't panic and sit Lynch if they're down by 14

Again, never said panic but you should alter your game plan until you're back in it.

And that's the hard part....

Seattle isn't built to come from behind. Denver is.

assuming they sit Lynch, like you've said, only down by 14 would be a panic move

They won't sit Lynch because he is a threat to catch passes out of the backfield (one of Denver's weaknesses) and he is a good blocker too.

It's pretty simple really. The team with the best head coach/QB combination will win the SB.

No need to dare. If we are down 20-6 at the half, we will still play our game which is the way that got us here. Down 10 zip in the NFCCG did we change against a deadly team that had won 8 straight and devoured 2 teams in 2 road playoff games? Not one bit. In fact it was Beast Mode that tied the game at 10. We were behind that whole game until the 4th qtr. Ultimately, we gassed them.
Don't try to pretend you know us better than we do and I promise not to attempt the same.

Do you have proof this is one of the Broncos weaknesses? My guess is no. Well actually I don't even have to guess as I know it not to be true as I have actually crunched the numbers and the Broncos have done just fine with running backs receiving. They had what I would call one bad game against Philly where they allowed 5 catches for 81 yards but half of that came on one catch. For the year the Broncos allowed 70 catches by RB/FB for 500 yards. I wouldn't really call that much of a weakness.
