I actually agree about Denver. They were flirting with titles for 20 years before they won one and were the only show in town for years.
But some of those other places "die hard" image coincided with their success.
I can agree with that. Part of that though was a lot of those franchises were the first in the NFL or the ones to at least begin to put the NFL on the map. So yes the titles helped grow the fan base but even from the beginning many of those areas football was everything. Look at Green Bay yes they won early so that helped but there isn't anything else up there than the Packers.
Now for the Broncos our fan base has been incredible for years and will be for years to come. Even though there are some other sports franchises in Denver the Broncos still dominate and I don't see that going away. A Super Bowl would mean more to Denver than any other trophy that the other teams could win.
And like I said since this franchise even before they were good was loyal and will be for years to come I can see this trophy meaning more to Denver 20 years down the road than say another team.
