the nice thing about bazz is he has proven to be able to guard both guard spots. But it’s really expensive for a Wanamaker upgrade. Although for one year it’s fine
You've been holding a candle for Napier a long time. ;)

I wouldn't hate the move... just seems more likely the C's would stick with the guy they know, and the guy who is cheap (like you said).

well right now the Celtics have cap space. If they get rid of semi and green they can offer ibaka more than the 10m that milsap got.

then use the mle for bazz and the bae for Baynes.

danny really needs to get me on his payroll.

especially since he would’ve spent the 2010s with Middleton and Danny green, giannis and stifle tower on the roster

Damn. That’s too much. But fills a need
I'm hard pressed to think of a better way they could have spent that MLE... (keeping in mind that everyone wants Serge Ibaka).

C's got a nice situation at Center now. Thompson and Theis is a great defensive duo... and RWIII still has some upside.

Bench scoring remains an issue... but I really like this move.

I dont agree, I think that is a fair price. He was making $16M/year...of course that was LBJ fueled but TT was the best big man on the market other than Ibaka. He’s a walking double double and can guard the perimeter

ibaka. Yes.

I hope the second year is an option.

he fits what they need with some size and switchability. I had him valued more like the tax payer exception.

so did other systems like hollinger on the athletic

Fair enough.

Quibbling over $$$ aside... this represents a clear roster improvement.

If you recall, the C's just went out in game 6 of the ECF because Bam Adebayo was clowning our defense.

We just did something about that.

(And I'm certainly not gonna miss being nervous about our defense collapsing whenever Enes Kanter enters the game)

Theis has been predictably guaranteed... and Semi's back too.

I think we keep Ojeleye around just in case we ever match-up against Milwaukee... ;)

Yup. Not having a c glued to the bench cause he can’t guard the chair he’s sitting on is nice.

Celtics can matchup up with all kinds of centers. Plus grant will play some C4

Semi and green are there for defense. But man their offense is atrocious

Semi's got all the suddenness of a turtle.

He's not unathletic or uncoordinated... he just totally lacks pop.

Which is weird, because he defends well.

if you mean Reddick, that’s what Nesmith was drafted to be
Don’t see him having that capability in year 1

I like getting Thompson. That takes care of the 5

Now they've got to get Williams off the bench and doing something more than watching the game.

Where does this leave the Hayward trade?? Turner +? Would jeremy lamb be a better small forward than McDermott and would the C's accept him?Rather than Olidapo or warren? It seem that Danny wants the guard more than Myles.

Hayward's gone, BK... he signed with Charlotte.

^ So we might get some type of compensation after all.

even getting a second and a massive trade exception is a good start

Jeff Teague will help solve some of those bench scoring issues...
