Yes..........what that article does not point out is if BSU can't find a home for the non football sports and has to crawl back to the MWaC, then SDSU might not make the move and the BW would lose their sports.

So this might be a case of SDSU lobbying to get BSU in........

Or we could help rebuild the WAC as non football.

If the BB schools in the BEAST make too much fuss I am wondering if the FB schools might not be better off skimming the best of the non AQs and creating a new conference, telling the BB schools to go it alone since they have been creating more problems lately. Like turning down that 1.4 billion dollar tv deal.

nothing is worse than crawling back the the MWC at this point.

worst case scenario is when end up in the Summitt, which at this point is better than the Wac.

yeah it's definitely seeming like the basketball schools should just go ahead and make their own conference. It's bad enough we were forced to deal with weak football programs like Temple and Memphis because of them.

Given landscape, can Big East get $10 million per year for its football programs?

Bailey says "to his knowledge" Boise State has not helped the Big East for any help in placing its non-football sports.

Doesn't seem to be any doubt Big East's deal will be much, much bigger than Boise State was getting in MW, which means BSU not going back.

Boise State might be reconsidering move to Big East - NCAA Football - CBSSports.com News, Scores, Stats, Schedule and BCS Rankings

An industry source told CBSSports.com that Mountain West representatives met with Boise State officials earlier this week to persuade the Broncos to remain in the MWC. Adding to that possibility is that the Broncos still haven't formally notified the Mountain West they are withdrawing from the league.

Yeah that's making the rounds. CBS is the one with the rights to the MWaC so of course they are pushing that line.

BSU will be going so long as the money is there. Period.

We'll rebuild the WAC to put our non FB sports and make the move.

MWaC is a step back, we all know it. Coach Pete knows it. And the AD will do what Coach Pete says.

Should Boise St. Stay (in MWC) or Go (to Big East)? | CollegeSportsInfo.com

here's an argument towards us staying in the MWC

while it does argue that our championship hopes are actually better in the MWC, I disagree still.

we need that TV money badly, we have to make improvements to our stadium and everything else if we hope to exist 2017 and beyond.

if we go back we're most likely doomed

for the MWC though they obviously need us, with us the MWC is a better league than the Big East, without us the MWC is just some mid major league.

I would disagree that the MWaC with BSU is better than the BE. The bottom half of each? That's where the real differences are.

The primary motivation has ALWAYS been the money, AQ and BCS was secondary. So our primary motivation is intact.

We cannot get home and homes because our stadium is too small. We HAVE to expand. We have to do that quickly. The Divide in FBS is looming and we are on the wrong side of it. If we have any shot at all we have got to move to the BE with the money and better exposure. BCS bowls and Title games are nice but LESS important than expanding the stadium (for which we need money) and ending up on the correct side of the upcoming divide. What good are a couple of BCS bowls going to make if we end up with the have nots in 5 years?

More money in the BE-needed for expansion.

Better exposure.....as in people in the east and south don't watch a lot of football out west because it is on so late.

We need that tv money, NOW. And the MWaC won't be able to come anywhere close. Add to it the lack of exposure and the bottom half FBS teams we'd be playing...IMO it is still a no brainer move. For the health of our long term FBS positioning.
