So should the Texans go get Ray Rice to fill in? Why is nobody giving him a chance

Is what he did worse than all the other NFL play abusers? Is it because we saw that video? Or has he hit the age 30 wall and age 28 and not have it anymore.

I say give him a chance. Isnt America a place for second chances?

What Rice did was horrendous and unforgivable. However he has payed his dues and gas the support of his family and women's advocacy groups from what I've read.

I bet he has a lot left. In his last year he was injured and the Ravens had a horrible O line.

I think the question is: Does he have anything left, and does a team want that PR?

Correct me if I am wrong, but he was not very good the yr before this went down. Now it might have been the system, I think Tgann would know more. I mean he went from being a top 3 RB, to not very good at all. Now, I could be wrong.

I think the physical skills are gone. He was not the player he used to be. That's the reason no team is picking him up.

This

There are as good or better options that are cheaper. If he gets picked up it will be after the first game of the season so that his contract is not guaranteed for the year

Pierre Thomas is supposed to meet with the Texans. I think that Thomas is a very solid, versatile RB. Hasn't really taken the pounding that some backs his age have, since NO never gives any of its backs a lot of carries. Obviously he is not Foster, but if he signs with Houston, I wouldn't be surprised to see Thomas have a very good year as the lead back in a RB "committee".

Ray Rice is out of the league cause he's washed up

Don't think for a second these owners care about the Elevator knock out

Alfred Blue will be solid, and a lot of veterans are looking for jobs

Maybe a Ben Tate reuinion?

Chris Johnson worth a flier?

They already brought in Pierre Thomas

2013 the last full year for R.Rice was the year after the Super Bowl win. The OL was in a shambles had injuries across it including Yanda out Center Matt Birk had retired and was replaced with Gradkowski(I believe) and Osemele was injured. Flacco was sacked 48 times that year and our other Rb in Bernard Pierce had a terrible year as well.

Here is what I think... Ray Rice had experienced his first injury(hip) as a player that year and could barely run. He would just lay down and finally he was pulled. Bernard Pierce was no better bc lineman were hitting him first in ththe backfield as the OL was awful.

It's been 2 years since he was injured I would def take a chance on Ray Rice without question.

The Ravens' OL was horrendous in 2013. Rice was obviously declining, but I don't think he was "football dead".

There are stats out there that show beyond just the OL being terrible in Baltimore that Ray Rice had taken a huge step back the year before this whole thing came about. Now after sitting out an entire season so being a year older and all the baggage that comes with signing him I just can't see any team wanting to touch him. There are plenty of mediocre backs out there that can come in and produce about the same level but not have the media nightmare that comes with Rice.

If a team gives him a call it won't bother me, just think he's will have to wait for injuries to pile up before he's called upon.

That and if you pick him up the video resurfaces on the news every five minutes for weeks.

What team would call him? IMO he is done as a decent player and there is video of him punching his wife out. As was said above: "High risk and low reward"

Send him to the Pats. "The Patriot Way" can "fix" anyone, right?

The NFL has blackballed Ray. The guy deserves another chance.
