The SEC is hanging on Bamas nuts just like the Big 12 has been with OU. There is one reason the SEC got 11 teams in bowl games and that is favorable scheduling. Not saying it’s not smart, just stating facts.

eh, i wouldn't read too much into the UGA performance .... many times when a team just misses out on the conference championship and/or playoff spot, they have an emotional let down ... i think what we saw from them in that game was many players who really didn't care about the game they were playing in and that was UT's championship

Culturally Mizzou fits, also I don't see the super conferences panning out in the long run. TV contracts will change.

Eh, I disagree. This was UGA"s shot to prove to the country they belonged in the playoff by curbstomping a 4 loss Texas team into oblivion, but like everybody was saying, no 2 loss team that didn't win their conference deserves to be in the playoff. In fact, as I have been saying, I think it proves how terrible the SEC East truly is and made UGA"s path to the SEC title game that much easier. Keep in mind, when UGA has stepped out of the East to play other teams, they were rolled by LSU and Texas and lost to Bama.

Who else in the SEC has deserved to be in a playoff other than Bama since '14? I know UGA made it last year, but I think that was more of being able to play in the worst division in all of CFB making their path easier.

It was kind of a perfect storm that led to this outcome. In the SEC CG UGA came out for their "revenge game" on fire with tons of intensity, Fromm played his brains out and their D played physical as fuck. Combine that with Bama dropping a shit load of passes, Tua getting hurt like 4 plays deep and we ended up with another heartbreaking comeback with a backup QB. I think that game being that close and all the Playoff talk made them think they would just show up in the Sugar Bowl and handle business, yet they ended up looking like the same Fromm and UGA that showed up (or didn't show up) against LSU.
