Hooray for girl power is all I can figure. They had some good tunes but only a very small window and it's not as if they were the first all female rock band, though they were the first one to achieve mass popularity. The Runaways never really did. There had been girl groups and rock bands lead by women.. Heart, Patti Smith Group, The Pretenders. The R&R HOF is a joke though.

I remember the group, the album and I get they were all females but IMO the lyrics were complete garbage and music was pretty candy ass. For me this is more about a really great songwriter/ musician being skipped over so AOC can masturbate at night. I feel this is a PC move by the Rock and Roll HOF to appease the female populous.

That's your take. I can name more Go-Gos songs than Zevon songs (and more hit the charts as well). Out of all the potential nominees this time around, I'm surprised the one you take issue with in the Go-Gos.
