A guy contacts me and starts with Dez + Jaquoie Bell + Stevan Ridley for Charles. I'm not biting on that one, not for my top point scorer. However, he has Welker.

I'm thinking about asking for Welker + Woodhead for Charles + Hakeem Nicks. Haven't pulled the trigger.

The story on the league is standard yahoo scoring, I'm in 3rd (tied for first at 3-1) but only because I've played guys on their down weeks and this other guy is in first. I'm not going to stay near the top, but if he lands Charles he will. I've got a major point scoring issue.

Bell won't get as many touches now with Reggie Bush coming back and having a stellar game last week so I wouldn't take that trade either. 2nd one looks good but I doubt he'll accept

Yeah, I'm not interested in ridley or bell. Dez I wouldn't mind, but would need something else decent with it. Woodhead isn't great, and my issue is the best RB I have on my bench is DeAngelo and he isn't doing much. Now if McCoy goes down (who this guy I'm trading with also has) then Bryce Brown on my bench will pay off big time.

I'm with this guy. Welker might be really really good.. but he's not the WR you center a Charles trade around.

Who are ur other starting rbs? If u lose Charles in that Welker/Dez trade, do u have two competent rbs to step up? If not, I'd stand pat or have an offer wth a RB included.

dont sell low on Charles.
You should get a top tier WR1 and a mid-top tier RB2 if trading away Charles, and that's the minimum asking price I'd put on a RB like him, AP, McCoy this year. They are looking to be the best 3 RBs in the league right now, and all are in situations where they see a ton of touches.

I'm glad you pointed that out. If someone offered me just Jamaal Charles for Welker and Woodhead I'd be thrilled. Getting Bell (who is one more tweaked Bush knee away from being a double digit scorer) and a half-decent bye option, those are just gravy.

And woodhead sucks.

Dez is obviously better than Welker and Bell will be fantasy relevant all year and is always a Bush injury away from being a top 10 fantasy back.

Trade #1 is better value than trade #2. Better WR and better potential at RB. Bell was a beast when Reggie sat out earlier hope: get hurt again Reggie!).

I have been begging for him to be gone for a while. He isn't actually good at any single thing, except arguably knowing our offense. He wasn't all that fast, he couldn't make anyone miss, didn't have great hands, and doesn't do anything special. I like the guy, but he just isn't good.

I also love our running back situation. I'd like vereen healthy, but Ridley, Blount, bolden is much better than anything possibly involving woodhead.

You're downgrading big time at RB from Charles to Woodhead.

In a year when RB production is so hard to come by, I don't think you can ditch a guy like Charles for that deal.
