The Steelers getting jobbed is evidence that the league ISN'T fixed.

Ratings would be much higher for playoff games featuring the Steelers than it would for the Chargers.

Maybe the fix was in, but KC's kicker fucked it up at the end.

This is all true, but the Pats haven't won a Super Bowl since they switched from a defensive team to an offensive team.

dont forget once they caught them with spycam, he's not Vince Lombardi anymore

I think that angle is overstated. I think the one year (since spygate) they had the best team in the league, 2007, they lost on a fluky play against a team that could match their one weakness.

Tomlin needs a terrible towel to cry in

Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers coach, won't bemoan missed call on Kansas City Chiefs FG attempt - ESPN

Tomlin is a member of the NFL competition committee, which considers and proposes rules changes or new rules every year to improve the quality of play and make the game safer.

-- Steelers coach Mike Tomlin
"Obviously, there's a lot of work [to do] from an officiating standpoint," Tomlin said Monday during his season-ending news conference. "I think it's been well-documented in the last several weeks, not only in stadiums we've played in, but others [too].

"I always want to be someone that's part of the solution as opposed to someone that's complaining and moaning about the problem. I intend to roll my sleeves up and offer any insight I can in making [the league] the very best it can be moving forward."

With as many BS calls and lack of calls going in the Steelers favor this guy can't say jack. 8-8 you don't deserve a shot at another trophy. Don't feel sorry for them at all. About time a call screws over the Sqeelers.

Unless the NFL sees them as the biggest threat to a NE/Den conference title game that can potentially do record breaking numbers :stevie:

jk..

It worked out well for the Bengals. Facing a Steelers team that manhandled the Bengals a few weeks ago would have sucked

Have to respect how they finished, though.....they were really the only one of the teams vying for the final AFC spot that took care of their business from start to finish, and they would have made it in without Ryan Succop's choke at the end of the KC/SD game....

SD won their last 4 and 5 of their last 6. Can't say they took care of their business any less than the Steelers.

The Sunday win vs a KC team resting everyone was a gift. I wouldn't call such a win on the last day of the season in a win and in or lose and out situation exactly taking care of business. The Steelers, on the other hand, blew out Cleveland from the opening kickoff.

The key to beating Manning is to remind him that the calendar says January.

He is older, he is more brittle. With that cold air chilling his bones, a few good shots by a safety, Harrison or Carlos Dunlap will make him start hearing footsteps and get the ball out early.

If you can hit Manning early in the game in a cold game, he will rattle and sometimes fold like a lawn chair.

We have two games to win before that, and playing in Foxboro sucks. I think we match up well, but that is a hostile environment during the playoffs. Let's demolish the Chargers first and we will go from there.

I agree the Steelers have a better team, but the Chargers took care of their business just as well. At least they had a winning record is all.

I'm not sure we are debating the same point, but imo it's not worth pulling apart.

I agree, but their fans have come over here offering support, so it's difficult to be too hard on them. I think they were really happy we whipped the Ravens, so in return I haven't laughed at them as much as I might have. Come next year though, it's on again.
