ECW crossed it alot ( thanks to Vince). This created alot of Runoff promotions like JCW and such...
THIS IS NOT WRESTLING. THIS IS 2 MEN FIGHTING WITH WEAPONS THAT CAUSE INTENSE DAMAGE TO EACH OTHER.
THIS VIDEO IS A EXAMPLE OF ONE MAN TOO KILL HIS OPPONENT. HELL THE OPPONENT IS UNCONSCIOUS IN A PUERTO RICO HOSPITAL and need surgery to Remove a blood clot in his head.

Promotions like CZW are just as fucking awful and an embarrassment to the wrestling industry and yet fans still love them to death. There’s always gonna be a place for this kind of garbage because there’s always garbage people willing to support it.

Being edgy is one thing (ECW), throwing cinder blocks at someone's head and taking unprotected chair shots is another and not just over the line but dangerous as hell. Everyone forgets that ECW was not just violence. They had great mat/tech wrestling, high flying cruiser weights and other types too besides hardcore. And everyone now knows that taking unprotected chair shots is stupid and will cause brain injury.
Plus the guy in the vid who threw the cinder block acts like nothing went wrong. Of course, I'm assuming he wasn't deliberately aiming for the other guys head and really meant to hit him in the back instead. If he was aiming for the guys head he should be charged with assault. The guy who threw the cinder block took a chair shot to the head right before and no sold it. That's ultimately the problem with hardcore wrestling, either you're selling the whole match (boring) or shaking off stuff that should legitimately kill you. .
