Flyer fans are idiots, like just about any sports fan from Philadelphia.

They fail to understand economics and timing, by offering Gauthier the contract they did when they did they cost the kid a lot of money and he wasn't happy about it. Did he not express interest in turning pro after his collegiate season last year? He obviously wanted to make some money and I don't blame the kid. If he's as good as advertised he would have hit some of those A and B Performance bonuses.

Have fun with Drysdale, he is gifted but injury prone and not that great in his own end. We've had the pleasure of watching him here in SoCal to know more than what you saw in one game.

He isn't a bad player, but if all he will be is a PP specialist moving Gauthier for him was a mistake.

Key here will be if he signs with Anaheim, they traded for his rights since he is unsigned. If they sign him this season that's exactly the issue and why he didn't want to play for Philadelphia.

Avs are only my second favorite team because I live in Colorado, Bleed black and orange forever. As far as the trade goes, it was a shitty deal all the way around IMO. According to hockey world reporters, the real deal was the old Cutter wanted to play college hockey, after his first year he was asked how he wanted to proceed going forward, he choose college again , at the end of last season is when the ghosting started with his camp. Supposedly the flyers sent ex flyers John Leclaire and Patrick Sharp to meet with him after an Eagles game to find out what he wants and he ghosted both of them.

Unfortunately Drysdale was the only thing they were gonna get in return, hope the Ducks suck donkey cock and the second round pick becomes pretty high.

We are a good group here, most of us since the late 1990s on ESPN and then when they shut it down we ended up here. We meet up at games, grab beers, etc. Close group, tight knit and extremely knowledgeable - we're family around here. Not myopic, that's LGK or "Teh Blog" (LA Kings Insider) as I refer to it, everything is wonderful and great and unrealistic in Kings Land. But we do defend. Good banter is always welcome.

Petersen may have stunk, but Walker really elevated his play. I never wanted him to leave but knew he was going to be a cap casualty here. Curious what the Flyers do with him being a UFA and having significant value.

I've always followed the Giants even after we moved to CA in 1986. Giants and Eagles, yikes - that's worse than Raiders Chargers when they were here in LA at the Collosium. Even at my bar here in OC there is a Philly fan named Jim, mouthy AF and he not only irritates me he irritates everyone. Dude doesn't know when to STFU which is par for the course with Philly fans overall.

Hockey was obviously my first love, but glad I played both sports and follow both.
