At what point do we consider benching Kirk Cousins? If he throws 2 INT's against the Eagles and 2 more INT's the following week then do we bench him

Just stick with him unless we absolutely have to bench him for colt. Two picks a game isn't bad enough

Kirk had a really bad game. He is going to make mistakes, but I think the coaches need to stick with him this season, see if he is serviceable and shows significant improvement. Similar to what they did with RG. We know Griffin probably won't see the field again and Colt, well he can be pretty good in spots, but he is a backup in this league, nothing more. We have nothing to lose by taking the sink or swim attitude with Kirk IMHO. If he stinks it up, the team will be in a position to get someone in the draft, WITHOUT trading the farm for him I might add. Bring in a veteran FA to hold the fort down for a year or two while we develop someone.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

You never bench him for Colt. If you want to prove RG3 isn't the answer too, then bring him in.

But I wouldn't bench him any time soon.

You bench Kirk when he's proven to be a backup and no more than that, oh wait, that means last year! So if you're going to continue playing backups why not alternate them? Sort of like Kirk..........had enough.....Colt......tired of him....... back to Kirk, then mercifully the season is over.......5-11.

And start who exactly?? UNless Kirk totally implodes there is zero reason to bench him. Worse case he sucks and we are drafting a QB. We bench him and install McCoy, and we are drafting a QB. We bench Kirk and start he who shall not be named, he gets injured... and we are drafting a QB with a $16.1 million dollar cap hit.

This^^^^^^ made me laugh. He who lives behind the rose.

And to answer the question in the OP. I have no idea. None whatsoever.

Best answer I can come up with is the situation is fluid.

stick with Kirk unless he just so comically bad that you have to make a change. They need to convince themselves one way or the other if he can be the starter long term. I already think we know the answer. Going to Colt does nothing.
