Sorta? AC Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are different than the rest.

The older AC games like Black Flag have really lacklluster gameplay and story by modern standards imo. Odyssey probably has my favorite gameplay but Origins maybe the only one of the new 3 that has a story.

Maybe I need to jump past the small releases (Unity, Brotherhoods, … I think there were a couple others) and pick it up again.

I am playing BG3 right now. I think I may be the only person on the planet who does not think it is the greatest game ever made. The controls are horrible.

I just hope the critics don’t throw out their shoulders patting themselves on the back for their loud and proud white knighting. Especially for an actress who was soooo unlikable in the press over the last 2 years that she absolutely deserves every bit of venom tossed her way.

the original AC on the 360 was hands down the best. You actually felt like.... an assassin. Not some rich boy business owner or idiot operating out in the public in front of everyone in high profile

Oh I dunno Clayton, it was probably like 8 years ago? It was a great game though when it came out. Some terrible performance issues, but the plot and gameplay was great at the time.

Assassin's Creed: BBC Gay Love in Japan is the same thing but crappier 10+ years later... especially when Ghosts of Tsushima is a FAR superior game.

Whatever, I bought 300 shares of Ubisuck for like $2.50.. lol.. I hope someone buys them out and I can get a quick cash grab, but I prepared to sacrifice the $750 or so lol.

I'm hearing the female lead carries the bulk of the game.

AC was a great series. But outside of Black Flag, every game was the same as the last. I think I stopped at Unity (hardly started it). Once they basically ended the current time storyline, there wasn’t much of a reason to continue, imho.

Black Flag was really good, I’ve heard this new one isn’t horrible but I haven’t been a huge fan of the direction they took it in with Origins/Odyssey.

I like big open world games too but the AC ones became a chore.

Yeah I like the gameplay of the newer ones just not as much the format. If I replayed Black Flag I’d probably agree with you but I only have the memory of it being amazing.

If you check out Shadows you should let me know how it is.

I like BG3 a lot but I agree it is way over praised. The characters and world are interesting though.
