I'll be honest, I have been enjoying this growing rivalry the past couple seasons. I think this season is going to be crazy! I never thought we would have anythin to replace the old rivalies we had back in the AFC West days.

That was fail. So your reply was I hated him already? SF is not above reproach as he claimed. Doesn't matter who pulled the trigger, those in the pipeline there will buy any player with any reputation to win. It's called pot meet kettle. He threw stones and it turns out he lives in a glass house.

Of course no one outside of SF respects him. He's a total douche bag, but watching the blind homerism of the SF fan base defend him at all costs is very amusing.

He was asked a question and he answered it honestly...basically what quite a few people outside of SEA have thought. If you cannot see the difference between 6 guys testing positive for "adderall" while being members of the same team vs. a team kicking the tires on a player post "adderall" suspension with a low level trade to see if he still has anything left, then it's a you problem.

Your argument is silly in it's premise..."well, well, well, he's doing it too!" It's lame. Stop. Idc what you think of Harbaugh, just like I'm sure you don't give a rat's ass what I think of Carroll. Stop making this a moral issue because your team, based on its current predicament, will lose this battle.

Again you fail. I specifically talked about his use of words when he said his team was above reproach. You are not living by your own words when you are willing to bring in a guy who not only was suspended for PED use, but was arrested for drunk driving the very week you picked him up. No one has ever denied there have been PED issues on the Seahawks. That's the difference here. You people have your heads buried in the sand over your team while we get what's going on here.

Where did I say he's doing it too? I said don't question the morals of others and then pick up players who have already been convicted of the same thing. That's a far cry from your assessment. How will anyone lose that argument? Carroll hasn't come out saying he would kick anyone who came up dirty and then kept them. Harblah came out and spoke up against the PED's in seattle and stated his team was above that. Then they go trade for a guy who is dirty. You do the math. And stop with the tired garbage about he was asked a question. Every HC in the league knows they are on camera/mic every moment a reporter is around and they ALL know how to duck questions full of land mines. He chose to speak out. End of story.

Sorry 9'er fans, but your base now cannot say a word about PED's and those who have come up dirty on any other team in the league. That move shot that down in flames. :flame:

Umm..."Harblah" as you put it, "came out and spoke up against PED's" (WHEN ASKED BY THE MEDIA)...all the while not addressing a single team or player...google the video and actually watch it...like most RATIONAL people do instead of taking the "media" or "hearsay" for the gospel like an IDIOT does.

Eric Wright was a CB on our roster in the mid-80's. The Eric Wright who tested positive for PED's and was suspended for four games last year was NEVER a part of the SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS Roster. So your argument is a mute point. Just worry about what player(s) on YOUR ROSTER will be caught CHEATING next while helping YOUR TEAM WIN GAMES. Not someone who was never on our roster, NOT helping us win games.

Ok, so your beef is the verbiage? The definition of is? Are the key words "above reproach"? So you are butt-hurt that he decided to twist the knife a bit on the actions of your team's players as a rival coach? Get over it.

You don't know the details of what happened with the Wright trade, how that went. You read reports from sources saying three different things. Is it possible that Wright's failed physical was TB telling the Niners post trade about the DUI and maybe Baalke and/or Harbaugh nixed the deal quietly by failing him? Or are you truly going to assume you know exactly what happened? Larry Grant, a pretty solid backup ILB, tested positive (came out after the season) and he didn't get even a sniff of a contract offer after two pretty stellar years backing up Willis and Bowman. Aside from him, our team doesn't have a reputation of any type for players that tested positive for PEDs. That IS above reproach. We have yet to have a major contributor get busted for PEDs so you truly won't know how the Niners deal with that situation until that happens. If Wright is your reasoning for spewing out the bolded statement above, as a low level trade post-suspension to see if he has anything left in the tank that never actually stepped on our practice field, then you are delusional in your assessment. US PEOPLE having our heads buried in the sand is a failure of an observation because it doesn't hold any weight. Do we have our heads in the sand because Harbaugh took an average team and made them great? Do we have our heads in the sand because we fail to admit that players that have not tested positive for PEDs are somehow guilty of PEDs without proof? Please explain what you believe we have our heads in the sand about.

I think that the point is that the team is not above reproach if they are willing to sign players with the same issues that Harbaugh was addressing.

It is all a "people in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks" scenerio. Harbaugh basically said that these guys were cheaters, but then the 9ers organization tried to sign a player with the same issues that he was complaining about.

Also, please note that the "he was never offically on the team" crap does not hold water either. They tried to get him on the team but backed out at the last minute, maybe because of bad publicity(?) or maybe because he actually failed the physical? Either way, they were willing to try to get him on the team despite haveing the same issues that Harbaugh was complaining about.

What it really comes down to is that Harbaugh should learn to keep his mouth shut, but he is too arrogant to control his behavior at times. At this point in his career he should know better than to give bulletinboard material to other teams. But we all know about Harbaugh. 9ers fans can try to pretend that he is a great guy but pretty much everyone (even his own family!) basically knows that he is an arrogant jerk. He is a very good coach, but don't sit here and try to convince anyone that he is a good human being because the concept is laughable.

So you are saying that they possibly failed Wright's physical intentionally to keep him from joining the team because of his issues?

Wouldn't that be lying? Hmmmmmmmm.......................

As far as telling us to "get over it" regarding Harbaugh's comments "twisting the knife" in (your words): This is the Seahawks board. We should be allowed to complain about it as much as we want. Please remember that this is not the ESPN. People are not allowed to run rampant on other team's boards. You don't see me complaining about the 9ers and their fan's perceptions on the 9ers board for a reason.

We don't like Harbaugh. He is a good coach but he is also an arrogant douchebag with a big mouth. If you don't like us complaining about him here, then don't come here. Otherwise learn to deal with it.

I'm sorry, is his paycheck attached to his earning a Nobel Peace prize? He is paid to win football games. I don't really care what he says as long as he is winning games because ultimately whatever bulletin board material you are talking about doesn't exactly affect how he prepares for games or how focused our team ends up being. Maybe he knows that his team responds well to his bravado arrogant act. They have up to this point.

You and some SEA fans on this board seem hung up on "above reproach". Isn't it a reasonable assumption to think that (especially if you actually watched the clip I posted to give context to his comments) his verbiage has to do with how a team reacts and responds when their own players are caught cheating? I mean, he was asked about SEA's players getting popped for PEDs and his response (paraphrasing) was basically saying that you don't want people thinking you are winning because you are cheating.

So far, you only have Larry Grant no longer being on our roster as a true apples to apples litmus test as to how the Niners respond in this Baalke/Harbaugh era to PEDs. Again, taking a flyer by trading a low round pick for a 5th CB to see if he can play post PEDs is hardly a stone and glass houses scenario. I get it, having the most players busted for PEDs in the last two years is embarrassing and trying to deflect that shine onto some other organization that was critical is def a way for you to save face but this is a reach.

I find it hilarious that you actually implied earlier that the 9ers might have intentionally failed Wright to keep him off of the team after the hypocriscy of the situation due to Harbaugh's quotes made it embarassing for them as an organization. That in itself would be a straight out lie. You act as if they never even attempted to obtain his services. It's like picking up a hooker and then backing out at the last minute and claiming that you did nothing wrong because you didn't follow through on the act.

Personally, I could give a crap about the PED suspensions. It is the 9er trolls who constantly bring it up and throw it in our faces and then cry like little girls when anyone brings up any problems with the 9ers. The players have all taken personal responsibility, served their suspensions (minus Irvin who will) and moved on. It is not the baseball 'roid era. It was adderall, which is a relatively mild amphetamine. It is basically the equivilant of taking cross-tops back in the college days to stay awake and study during finals week. Probably not much different than downing a few Red Bulls. (Note: Don't bother responding with an arguement about adderall. It has already been done a hundred times. I have read up on it and while I have never taken it I have discussed it with sseveral persons who used it with a perscription for ADHD, and this is what I am basing my statements on.)

Again, this is the Seahawk's board, not the 9ers board. You don't like us bad mouthing Harbaugh for his hypocriscy then you shouldn't bother coming here. No one is going to change their minds based on your opinion, which is just as biased as ours is (yes, I admit both sides are biased).

Lol...adderall is a masking agent for something bigger here. Hence the fact Harbaugh said you can't really take the cheating players word for it. Due to the new CBA the NFL can't correct anything that is said about suspensions. Players and their agents want to save face, so they lie about it. IF these players could simply drink a couple Red Bulls instead of risking a multiple game suspension, don't you think they just go to gas station and pick up a couple??? Don't be so ignorant.

While it may or may not be true that adderall is a masking agent for steroids, when I have researched it online, I have only found hyperbola spread around message boards stating this. I have not been able to find any scientific studies that support this. If you read on the most reputable sites (USFDA and the European Medicines Agency for example) I can find nothing factual to support this claim.

Quote: Dr. Hussar- professor of pharmacies: "Adderall is not a known masking agent for other performance enhancing substances" November 27th, 2012.

The conventional wisdom is that an amphetamine salt (like adderall) cannot be used to mask high testosterone levels (which is what you would get from taking steroids). A masking agent for high testosterone would be estrogen, which would theoretically balance hormone levels. I find lists of masking agents, but none of them have adderall.

Plus, steroids and adderall both fall under the same catagory of banned substances by the NFL. Why would you take a masking agent that has the same penalties for positive testing as the substance you are trying to mask??? It makes no sense.

Please come back with something factual instead of just innuendo and rumors.

That's the point. It has the same suspension and is treated the same as roids. They take roids, say it was Adderall and the NFL can't correct them. The fan base, you obviously included, doesn't consider them "cheaters" since it was 'only an amphetamine' and just like drinking a red bull as you put it. Like Harbaugh pointed out, you can't really take a cheaters word for it. They know what they were busted for, the NFL knows what they were busted, but we will not know. Why take something you can get suspended for when it doesn't give you an advantage on the field?? It's nonsense and if you were honest with yourself, you would admit it.

So you basically convict people of whatever you feel like based on assumption and heresay without any evidence. It is essentially a witch hunt.

You automatically assume steroids without anything to back it up and just say "you can't take a cheaters word for it" and quote Harbaugh. I guess that Harbaugh would know a thing or two about cheating since he broke the law by getting a DUI and also broke into a media room and assaulted an announcer, not to mention cheating on his wife and family and deserting his 3 children to be raised without a father. Nice!

I asked you to come back with facts and instead you bring nothing. You would fail big time in a court of law or a debate, and therefore you fail here also.

Lol...ok jake, believe what you want. You have NO facts to prove that your players were only using adderall. All you are going off is their word. Yeah...your boys are not above cheating, but lord knows they would never tell a lie. There are many, many articles written about NFL players claiming adderall to cover up other PED's. It's simply common sense. It's not very likely that someone is going to risk suspension by taking just adderall alone.

This isn't a court of law. This is a message board. In the court of public opinion, Seattle is full of cheaters. Deal with it.

Typing WORDS in all CAPS makes me feel really really COOL TOO.

I did watch the video. I've heard the entire presser many times. Don't you think they have played it to death on local radio up here? What part of anything I said didn't actually happen? He did exactly what I said he did.

Again, none of you can claim a THING about the Seahawks and their PED issues anymore. Just can't do it. Keep on trying, but you lost all credibility. There is a big difference between having guys under contract who get popped for it, and actually going out and trading for a guy who has already been popped for it. Which one is worse? No one in Seattle has intentionally brought a guy in to try out for the team who is a known drug user. Can you say the same about YOUR team? lolz.

I don't read long run on sentences by bitter fans so I won't bother with the end. I'll only respond to the first part. Bitter? Love the hypocrisy of your fan base. All I did was point out your team can't be considered above reproach when they are willing to bring in a known drug user who was arrested for a DUI the very week he was brought in. That is a fact.

You coach spoke on the public record and told the press he wanted his team to be above reproach and then a few weeks later his front office brought in a drug user loser. End of story. It just ruins that credibility. Sorry of that's just too hard for your base to handle, but it's the truth.

Do you feel the same about the SF Giants?

Are you talking about one of their best players who was busted for PED's and was NOT allowed back on the team after his suspension was up? Would love to see Carroll and co. to make an example like that. The difference is I'm not here trying to defend the cheaters actions like you guys do.
