We like to have fun here on the smack talk thread. It's meant to be in good fun, but able to handle some trolling also. That's some funny stuff HaroldSeattle!
We don't necessarily consider it negative . Had some great times here. When then the 49ers were good, had several 49ers fans dueling us here, some pretty funny stuff. Course a thread like this gives troll a opening, but surprising most skip it to attempt to go regular threads and troll and of course that doesn't fly.Yea, I noticed you guys have a major negativity thread as well. Good move. Just like you stated, it accomplishes several things at once and makes your job a easier. It also keeps order on the board which is ALWAYS a good thing.
One thing about others coming giving a football debate, it kind of keeps Seahawks together. No outsiders posting lead to internal strife , so I always encourage those team fans to give their opinions. Use to be 49ers, lately it's been Pats fans, good debaters, adds a lot to the board IMO. Perhaps Steelers fans will start chipping in. The key is not to be posting to rile the locals, rather post to have a fun back and forth. Keep it civil.Yep. I hear you on the guest thing and the semantics of the title. I started ours out of a request by the posters themselves. And I have relaxed the standards (controls) a bit to encourage what you are suggesting. Its slowly coming around and you are right. Some it is damn funny.
The NFL general is kind of a free for all, within bounds. I kind of feel line is getting obscene , but trolling is just fine. You got to have game you want to post on the general board, it's not for the meek for sure. The Politic board is a snake pit, I rarely enter that board, because I would blow a gasket if I did. Besides I hate talking politics.Yep, I see the wisdom of what you are suggesting for the results you state. I think, for the most part, the SportsHoopla now has a reputation for a place for that very type of interaction and I believe the days of trolling are dwindling. I see that on a number of forums throughout the SportsHoopla except for maybe the Politics Forum.
Deal!@FaCe-LeE-uS Enough foreplay, here's the wager I propose. Favorite team icon, loser has to sport the winners logo as favorite team, till said team, loses. What say you?

Face is a heck of a opponent, I should add a good friend also. Fun duel going on.
