i see a scenario that could very well make stymie right about RG3 so i wont rule out what he says

in my scenario the skins negotiate with KC and cant come to an agreement much like what happened to RAK . they franchise him but unlike Rak KC doesnt sign the tender

this makes the skins hold onto Rg3 at 16 mil which is only guaranteed if he is injured they go through mini camp and preseason and discover that this year of sitting that Rg3 has greatly improved in his qb skill set thus making KC expendable as they rescind making Rg3 the starter in 16

KC is on an audition this year while robert is going through qb 101 on the bench

now please call 911 for shark because i believe his textual heart has stopped and he may become a live shooter at the university of miami

i posted this in another thread and thought it was appropriate here

This is possible, but I really doubt it. Assuming a relatively good contract I believe that Cousins will be highly motivated to stay with the Redskins & won't leave simply for a few more $$. The Orakpo situation was much different since he was coming off an injury w/ an inflated contract & LB is much more replaceable than QB.

KC has several reasons other than $$ to remain in DC including not having to uproot his family, confidence from the coach even during his struggles & familiarity with the team and system. Now if the $$ difference were huge I could see a problem, but I truly believe that the team will offer him a respectable amount.

Absolutely - anything is possible. However - I believe that the current FO is smart enough to realize that you don't lowball a QB. The only reason that Cousins would likely walk would be insulting offers, and if the Skins did that it would likely be because they don't want him as starting QB. I see no way that is true unless Cousins has 4-5 lousy games for the remainder of the season.

Barring that situation - RG3 is gone, and I base this primarily on the fact that RG3 will see no reason to stay with the Redskins.

RG3 doesn't have the skill, accuracy or pocket presence to be a successful NFL QB. The Redskins know it, he'd be the perfect fit for the Browns.

OK but I see it differently. Being a fan of RG3 would mean that you still actively cheer for him if/when he goes to another team. Certainly I root for anyone who plays for the Skins while they are on the team. However - once they go elsewhere I wish them the best but otherwise could care less. I really won't care much about RG3 if he goes to another team assuming that team is not a rival.

I still care when they leave. I typically care if they do well...I want them to suck.

Exactly. I never understood fans rooting for former Redskins. Why in the world would I want my team to have been the one to cut a guy who turns into a Pro Bowl player for someone else?

Yep. For the Redskins this generally has not been the problem. More likely - they don't find quality players in the first place. Hopefully this will change over the next several years.
