Red, Palmer is old. Cousins is young. I would give up a 2nd for Cousins in a blink.

I guess the question is: if the Rams end up trading down from #2 and get an extra 2nd round pick, should they consider trading for Cousins vs drafting a rookie QB?

Where would Cousins go if he were coming out in this draft? I wouldn't hesitate to give a 2nd round pick for him.

I was just going to say the same thing. There is a great chance that could happen(getting a extra #2). He does want to be a starter. But question is... Could he beat out Sam??

Vikings should look at this also. A 2nd and Ponder, might just get them Cousins. Or adding Ponder, could kill any deal LOL...

I got a bad feeling that somehow we will end up with Mark Sanchez. Him and Shotty were together in New York. Would Shotty bring in the Dirty Sanchez?? .......YIKES:gaah:

Sanchez is one of the few QBs that I'd prefer Bradford over. I know I don't give Fisher as much credit as some, but I can't believe he's that clueless that he'd bring in another wennie QB to hold hands with his current wennie. Now Shottenheimer on the other hand I have no doubt would bring him aboard. He'd also attempt to bring leather helmets back to the league with his archaic mentality....

Man you haters can't cut Sam a break!

You can call it garbage time stats or whatever but they don't play prevent defense in the redzone and that is where Sam and company excelled this season finally having that second year under the same OC. And another thing, putting up just 4 ints. when your playing from behind ain't no small feat either. The defense may be playing off and soft however they pretty much know you are one dimensional at that point and the D line can pin their ears back which tends to lead to more picks in those situations this was another area of improvement for Sam.

I do agree he needs to have this greater sense of urgency, you all may call it toughness. He needs to take a few more chances here and there however he just needs to pick his spots. Sort of like the HC going for it on 4th down. Even if you fail, your team knows you are in it to win it and not just there to manage the game or go by the book.

I'll be shocked if the skins trade him. The chance of Rg3 playing all season is slim to none. Trading a decent back up doesn't make sense. Now if rg3 does play all year then you could trade him next year.

:agree:The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Sanchez wouldnt cost anything, he knows Shottys offense. Sanchez is under contract, but he will be cut soon. He's schelduled to make something like $13,500,000 mill in 2014. Jets are gonna eat some dead $$ over that. Heck maybe we could offer him some sort of cheap incentive deal and tell him there is a chance that Sam could flop and he could be a starter again. If Sam chokes in 2014 we could knock off 15 mill by cutting him and another 13 mill by cutting Long. You watch something like this could very well happen. I doupt we will resign Clemons, this will be a Shotty decision. But I think Sanchez is also coming off an injury as well. Not sure what it is.

Ah...but he's recovering from a surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Says he will be ready.

Mark Sanchez will be ready, but for whom? - ESPN

Clayton, why not?

The Rams took a game manager #1 overall and getting paid a lot more jack too.
