:agree: Chillipepper.
I can only imagine what some posters here would be saying about Cousins a year or two in if he were to start for the Rams in 2014 and struggle. I for one don't want the dude but if he is starting for the Rams, I'm sure I'll be standing up for him when some try to just make up shat and I'll be labeled a 'Kirk lover'

Brees wasn't that great at first. I think Cousins has looked better in a shorter time and not even being a starter. But you never know how much better he can get. Like Brees did. But giving up a 2nd rounder wouldn't hurt so bad cuz RAMS have the 2nd and 13th picks in the first round. Which could turn into even more picks. I'd give Cousins a shot for sure. Could be magic! I saw some very good stuff from him. Raw yes but I see the potential there.

I see some things in Cousins that remind me of a very young Kurt Warner. Plus he is very solid in the head as far as locker room and off-the-field issues are concerned. He absolutely wants to win and he is a very good arm. Yep, I'd take a chance on him.

While I can see what both of you are saying about Cousins his success came all in his rookie season. He was absolutely atrocious last year.

I think nobody really noticed because of all the drama around the RGIII benching and drama speculation surrounding Mike Shanahan firing.

It wasn't Cousins fault last season. Make him a starter from the get go and I think he'll be very good.

It wasn't Cousins fault they he lost three games in a row when he had a shot to shine? I think it's hilarious the free pass we give other QB's but so much hate on Bradford who is 5-2-1 in the NFC West... toughest division in football the last two years.

Ambitious.

If HOU surprises us and takes Clowney...the 2nd pick will have a lot less value...with Clowney on the board, maybe an extra 3rd this year.

Sorry, but no. The best 3rd round pick is worth 265 points on the draft pick value chart. Just moving up from 3 to 2 is a 400 point difference (mid 2nd rounder). It will take more than a 2nd rounder to move up from 4th to 2nd (800 point difference, top 2nd rounder worth 580 pts). These values aren't set in stone, but they are a pretty starting point.

If Clowney is off the board to the Texans, that leaves all the QBs in play with a bunch of teams looking for one. If they have any preference at all between the QBs (which of course they will), they will want to jump ahead of Jax at #3.

It wasn't Cousins fault last season. Make him a starter from the get go and I think he'll be very good.

Cousins throwing more interceptions (7) than TDs (4) is Cousins' fault. Turning the ball over 10 times is also his fault (3 fumbles). 52% completion rate is Tebow-esque. His 3 starts were against the Falcons, Cowboys, and Giants late in the season, so there isn't much of an excuse for such terrible numbers. Even his one start in 2013 was a December game against the Browns.

Sure, he'll be better than that with a healthy team starting clean to begin the season, but how much better is a crapshoot.

I can't see that happening Zeke. Sanchez would not be happy being a backup, and he would want too much money anyway after being a starter for so long. To bring him in to replace Bradford? You know I'm not a Bradford fan, but talk about going from bad to worse! Bradford is bad, Sanchez is a dumpster fire.

yah you are probably right, they're not gonna let Shotty make a major decision like that.

Sanchez will probably get picked up by some QB needy team that lost out in the draft, but even is no guarantee. He's probably better than anybody Oakland or Minnesota has at this point. But if they address their needs in the draft, well it may be the last we see of Sanchez. Carroll was probably right when he advised him to stay in school another year.

Would another year in college have fixed Sanchez though? If anything, he's gotten worse as the years go by. Odds are, if he stayed he would've been drafted lower (like Barkley) and probably just faded away as a backup.

Yeah, he probably was never first round talent, but if he'd stayed another year he also probably wouldn't have had Shottenheimer as an OC. And we all know from experience what Shottenheimer can do to an offense, and consequently to a QB unfortunate enough to play for him.
