I mean it's all contingent on the gameplan that you guys are going with. You guys are introducing a new offense in coach and package. There are all kinds of questions to be raised that I am sure have been discussed a lot on your own forum. Funny that. I've always liked and respected the Pack as well. Probably enhanced by the tie in with Lombardi and how very tragic it was that we only got him for 1 year. Oh what could have been. A legend of a coach. And something our teams share in common. He was the only real coach that Sonny ever had and Sonny revered him. As did the Redskin faithful.

I read the article, a lot of it makes sense. I disregarded the first part with the defense, because it's a lot of touch and go. In the same essence of the Packers, they'll win with their offense and not defense. Reading about Jordan Reed and the already outstanding receiver options, it's going to be a season won by offense I think.

Not sure that offense is gonna win it for us early in the season tbh. Hard to tell what this O is going to look like or how long it might take to click. We won't know till we see it unraveled.

Our D was below average last year and our STs was historically bad and almost laughably sad to watch last year. An improvement in those 2 phases of the game could literally be the key to a few wins this year. STs alone probably accounted for at least 2 games, maybe 3 last year...

Spotlight is bright in the NFCE, and nowhere is it brighter than DC and Dallas. There's a reason these 2 franchises are in the top 5 of the most valued franchises in the league. Lot of mediots roaming about, liking to create stories that are absurd, just for the clicks.

Not to mention the whole name debate thing...

I wasn't even implying the name thing, although I know that's something that any Redskin fan has on the backburner although they want to forget about it. I won't even ask your opinion because I'm sure you've expressed it excessively.

There has been a lot of negative press for sure but mostly self imposed. The owner took one of the most respected franchises in the league and made it a laughing stock. Even without the name controversy there is enough failure over the past 2 decades to give negative stories plenty of fuel. Add to it the big, controversial move of trading so much for a QB who to date has been up and down and, well, if he fails it's the "same old Redskins".

So lots of baggage makes the team very hard to root for, which is why I'm surprised they have such an out of town following with young people. They have seen nothing but losing, especially early in the year. Hell even in the 3 seasons we have made the playoffs in the last 10 years they needed miracle rallies at the end to overcome poor starts. It's tough being a fan of a team who seems to have a losing record by Oct 15 every single year.

But fans we are. We will never give up and always root for the best.
