Redskins on pace to shatter team record for offense

I bring everyone back on offense and plug in holes on the defense as we go. With this offense we don't have to build some crazy shut down defense. Just fix the line and move Cravens to SS. That alone should garner this team 2 to 3 more wins next year.

I remember that 83 team. Can't believe Kirk has us on pace to pass those dudes. Not to mention any of the Posse era Skins teams.

This is utter nonsense...to compare that '83 squad to this one, as if this current iteration is on par with the earlier model makes no sense. That 1983 squad was hampered by today's standard in which the NFL powers to be have deemed excellent to great defensive play now penalty worthy. In an era where going after QB's and touching them is only allowed below the shoulder and above the waist draws a penalty....where defenses are no longer able to jam, play bump and run, have to worry about "defenseless receivers" or routinely get PI calls for being within a couple feet of pass catchers, I often wonder why any of the older offensive records still stand.

That's fair, yet and still, no Skins team since 83 has moved the ball at this pace. So we can frame it any way we like, the point remains that this is the most prolific offense the Skins have had in over 33 years.
