Sign AJ Hawk?

Should we look into trying to get AJ Hawk? He is a veteran player but a very good player who could help our LB corps.

He's only 31 and led the Packers in tackling until this season. He is worth trying to sign.

I agree I don't believe he can help this team and I know he can't cover a TE or a rRB coming out of the flats. I hope the Cowboys don't seek out his services.

We have Lee and Hitchens (and maybe McClain) as starters next year. We get to choose Carter, Durant or both. We also have some yong guys laying around (and Wilber) that could compete or at least provide depth. Why bring in a guy that is going to cost $'s and probably isn't going to start when we have bigger needs on defense and a salary cap problem? At best he starts, but is only marginally better than the guy behind him on running downs and as mentioned above of little use in specialty packages in this defense with coverage assignments that require a lot more speed than he will give us.

I'll pass. Older players tend to become slower as the season progresses. We need speed. We need to find another guy like woodson. Woodson could have played linebacker. We need that hybrid guy that can cover tight ends , receivers and backs.

They don't make many like Woody. If he had been more of a ''me'' guy, he would easily be in the Hall of Fame. May have to settle for being one of the best players and guys to ever wear the Star
