It's a decent system but it makes delivery in warm weather problematic. Luckily the dogsled teams (our chosen method of delivery) are often on vacation the first week of July. As this is the only time of year when ice actually melts here in Canadia, the two things generally sort themselves out.

The real sucky part is that all of Sun Media gets painted with the same brush, which obviously isn't fair, but it's also a reality. Randy Sportak who works for the Calgary Sun Sports dept. actually came on Calgarypuck this morning and said this kind of crap paints all journalists who fall under the QMI agency in a bad light.

Well, all I know is this is a theme with Ottawa's...but never had any issues with Calgary that I can recall. Well, no issues that reached a multinational stage. Every newspaper has bad ones, certainly. But it just kills me where journalistic integrity has gone. I know I've complained about this a million times, but the rush to be first with things has created the abandon of integrity. I feel like in the past, doing something like this would result in firings, but now it's just a quick "sorry" and moving on. I suppose it's because they hold the internet "print" to a different standard than the actual print. Still was published, meaning it got through more than one person. Someone wrote it, someone reviewed it and said okay.

Are you sure someone reviewed it? I think that's the weak link here. No time for editorial review when the main priority is to beat the other guy to a phony news story.
