Apparently his previous rest was too strenuous so he needed rest from that.

Hawks have been resting their starters a lot lately. I guess that's what happens when you have such a comical lead in your conference.

Besides the Spurs, no other TEAM has done this before. So to use your logic, 100% of all teams that used this tactic were champions. So everyone should do it!

Do you even know what you are arguing?

Look, you basically said teams need to rest early, otherwise, they will be beat up come playoffs. I showed you that teams usually don't start resting players early in NBA history and they were fine come playoffs time.

History is on my side. I don't know why you are trying to argue it.

I said its a good idea. And the sample size is too small to argue that they'll be better off. This could become something that everybody does. The only team that has done it in years passed is also the most successful team in the past 15 years.

For players with certain problems, you have to rest them over the course of the season. 5 days of rest isn't necessarily the same as spreading those 5 days out - especially if you're resting guys 4/5s, back-to-backs. It's a lot easier to prevent wear on the body from overuse than it is to wait for it to heal from damage.

Resting Kevin Love is different than these other teams resting several starers. Love is actually dealing with a back injury... its the exact type of injury that you can play through... but you can also tremendously help by taking a few days off.

Wait?!? What?!? Hasn't he been resting all season?
Agreed. Love has never really fully fit the Cavaliers' system, and personally I think the Cavs gave up way too much in the trade with Minnesota... I mean, would you rather have a mid-career Kevin Love for one season and then have him leave you, or would you rather develop a player like Andrew Wiggins, who, as time will show, has the skills to become a strong force at the guard position.

Depends on whether you win a title while Kevin Love is there or not
