It's not really semantics though, as it changes who has the decision-making power. That is all in Kyrie's hands at this point.
Regardless, the Celtics have reshuffling to do. Rozier is a RFA that could receive sizable offers. Marcus Morris is a free agent. Do they still pursue AD without an extension or Kyrie? Can't see that happening unless they can secure another star level player in a S&T for Kyrie (which would be a tough sell to Kyrie).
I get your point, but it's semantics in that one way or the other I don't think he's back barring something unforeseen. After this playoffs there's no reason to bring that same cast of players back if they could only get 1 game from the Bucks.
AD...good question. This would be the unforeseen. With Irving I think they're more aggressive...(this would be a trade I think). W/O him I still think they try, but don't go all out.
