Should i drop rivers for alex smith? Great schedule coming up

Week 6. @OAK- 30th (against the pass on CBS standard)

W 7. NO- 20th

W 8. @IND- 21st

W 9. JAC- 26th

W 10. @CAR- 25th

W 11. TB- 29th

W 12. @Broncos-

W 13. @ATL- 32nd

W 14. OAK- 30th

I understand it's Alex Smith so take it with a grain of salt, but there's an undeniably high floor when you play bottom 10 pass defenses in 8 of your next 9 games after a bye week getting your best running and receiving threat back. In jamal charles.


Should i drop rivers who has denver 2 of the next 3 weeks or should i trade stafford (my other QB) to the owner who needs a good QB? Also he has jeremy maclin i think i should buy him within the next week or so. What do yall think?

He just has a safe floor which is why i like him. He doesnt crap all over your team or kill you i dont think which stafford almost did against the bears

Yeah, but the top 10 QB are top 10 for a reason. And sometimes the matchups don't matter for those type of QB. Screen passes to the RB can be just as effective if the slot guys are covered.
Its rare for a player to be consistent week to week. You're gonna have peaks and valleys. But not all valleys are crushing defeats either.

I actually can't think of a single QB I would rather start against Denver than Rivers. Seriously. He gets the ball out quick and his top receiving threats are short options inside the numbers. He pretty much plays opposite Denver's strengths.

That's at minimum equal parts luck and skill reading matchups. .if we've figured out anything is that matchups aren't the end all be all, and sooner or later, luck runs out

He's apparently thinking the 2 Denver games sandwiched around a date at ATL will be the key...problem is, Rivers usually has multiple TD games against Denver, and Alex Smith can make the juiciest matchups turn into very blah performances

Id have a hard time dropping either of them. But interesting to see what would do it off the waiver wire for me.
