I don't like that the rule can be ignored at the discretion of the ruler. I think Chara should have been given a game, as well as Hossa, though I am not 100% on how majors work at this point.

Once a penalty is called, it is called. There should not be loopholes, especially those so wide.

W/E though... NHL brass... shouldn't be surprised.
