That would be awesome news...Foster did say based on what Bell told him he felt he had a shot on the appeal...good for him if so....still a week or so to know for sure.

Bell is a dynamic pc and I hope he's out there week one as well.

This had potential to be a 2 seed playoff team at worst...my biggest concern is still the back end of the DEF. With Golson maybe for the yr out again...it looks like Davis, a rookie S will be logging a lot of minutes in the slot. I know he was expected to get snaps in big nickel there anyway, but hopefully he can handle the bigger load because come week 1 you know he will have a target on his back.

CB depth is thin...if he can't handle it or gets hurt...most likely Gay has to slide inside and we're talking guys like Grant, Burns or Washington playing maybe. I think Burns will be fine, but it's going to take some time.

Just heard the news. While its not the reduction I had hoped for, I still hope that he grows the fuck up. That's the most important thing.

I think the money he lost in contract negotiations will be an eye-opener which hopefully will be a big enough learning experience for him to make him grow up.

Steelers would be wise to back-load his contract to force him to keep himself clean. Make him play 2-3 seasons around $3-5mil before paying him upwards of $10mil. That way if he fucks up again the Steelers won't be on the hook for anything big.

One interesting caveat to this suspension is that if Bell were to fail another drug test, he would only face a 4 game suspension as opposed to the 10 for 3rd time offenders. Kind of scary though because that doesn't seem to scare Bell.

I think what happened here was his story was legit, apparently his program test were clean, but they were not going to give him a complete pass for not notifying the league about the travel/phone change stuff....imo that's also why he's staying in level 2.

I really hope this has scared the kid straight...but it's all on him at this point.
