If all of this is true, then we will see more clearly on whether Shottenheimer is part of the problem on offense instead of part of the solution.

UGA is a good program who can recruit and traditionally gets very good QB and RBs. In a league where secondary reeds are less important I think Schotty can EXCELL in the NCAA. I also think he'll be able to recruit well, with his last name, connections to the NFL, and because of the fact that his players will get better under him. I can see Schotty doing big things there

Sending positive thoughts his way. I see a win-win situation here.

Yeah, Id be ready to write of Schottenheimer if Sanchez didnt totally bust on the Eagles but he did. So its still kinda up in the air.

Im still upset about that play he called at the end of the San Diego game. One thing we do know: Schottenheimer isnt great. But he isnt the first Rams OC Ive complained about in the Bradford/Backup era

I still don't think he's that bad or is the main problem. the thought of our offense having to learn a new system will set them back most likely. ugh why would he take that job? it can't pay more

Its not like Sam played anyway... everything is so similar, we don't need to recreate the wheel, we just need someone a little more creative.

Sam knows the system though like the back of his wheelchair.( see I can joke about Sam) I know I heard schottys system is very complex and one of the tougher ones to learn. If someone else comes in it will be all new. It's like learning a new language. Not fun.

A lot of people use similar lingo/concepts as Schotty though. It really won't be that much of a change, and yeah there may be a learning curve, but if Schotty is getting fired after next season the team will have to start over then. Bradford knows football, he'll be okay.

Last time I checked the OC isn't on the field executing the plays. It's not just on him. 6 wins with hill and Davis? Pretty impressive if u ask me.

Ya, i can't completely blame schotty. While there have been some bonehead calls he's not the only coach in the NFL that makes bonehead calls. I'm sure every team fan yells at the TV once or twice a game and wants a OC or DC fired. You guys have to put this into perspective, he's a decent OC not the best , not the worst. I believe that Sam would benefit from a better OC. Someone like a Turner, or Brian's dad, Marty. There are certain OC's that are QB whisperers and it's something schotty is not.

The biggest knock (IMO) has been his inability to figure out how to use Tavon. You can't trade up in the first to draft an offensive weapon then keep an OC that can't figure out how to use him.

totally agree with this :10:

Put Tavon on any other team and I think he would be a better player.
Drives me crazy when i see TA running up the middle hahahaha.

maybe it would have worked with a better interior Oline? :noidea:
