Man, they kicked him out for sleeping there? That's rough if he was a guy in need. But, that's not completely relevant here. I feel for these people because I'm quite certain they're kicking themselves for not saying anything. And in this specific situation, would anything have changed? The man's passport was revoked to prevent him from going to Syria, right? The government was aware and took appropriate steps, but there are some things that we simply can't prevent. I feel like authorities couldn't have held him in custody merely because someone reported that he was discussing ISIS. As a person of faith I look to respect those of other faiths (although I admit, as a woman I'd never choose such a faith), and I know how frustrated I feel when people attack Christianity through the lense of Westboro Baptist...so I can't imagine my faith being attacked relentlessly. Just another moment I have to be thankful that I live where I do, because it's the other way around in much of the world.
on sleeping there ... he got his hands on keys that he wasnt supposed to have

I posted (a page back i think) that when he was arrested in vancouver for robbery in 2011 ... he asked the judge to keep him in jail so he could go into treatment for his crack addiction ... instead of jailing him and putting him in treatment, the judge ordered a psych assessment because he thought it to be a strange request
maybe some sort of intervention at that point could have changed things
/do people really attack christianity because of the Westboro church??? theyre loons!
