Sherman expected blowout win, blames loss on bad calls | ProFootballTalk

“We didn’t project it to be this way,” Sherman said, via quotes distributed by the 49ers. “We expected to blow them out but they got the benefit of a few calls tonight throughout the game and that helps you especially on third down, we will see them again and it will be a different result.”

Sherman is just playing the heel like in pro wrestling. He knows full well the penalties against him were well-deserved.

I like our matchups against the Seattle DB's more now than before. With Crabtree back, we got another receiver besides Boldin who can match the physicality of the Seattle DB's.

He's just an arrogant, bitch. I finally see why he has been so successful in the league. He holds on every play.

Not giving any credit to a team after losing = a sore loser. We all knew Sherman is a bitch which is certainly nothing new. Very talented player, but his act has already gotten old.

The Seattle fans are downplaying it too.

It's funny.

BTW, did anyone see Shermans comments before the game? He said it was going to be a "glorified practice".

I never hope for injuries on any player, but I wouldn't feel bad for one second if he broke a leg.

Breaker, I can't stand him either but seriously, that's bordering on actually rooting for an injury. No bueno. Class it up.

Sherman must have missed those lessons as a kid in little league about how to behave after losses

He should actually thanks the refs for not flagging them on every defensive down. Those mofos and every single one of them are holding or PIing just about every single down.

agree.

so it is good to know refs are now looking for it. in other games, it just SEEMED like they were just letting it go (Browner too).

Maxwell was doing some grabbing of his own.

I think he's mad because they usually let him get away with holding on every play. So why not last night? He deserves a pass on the rules.

Its crazy the shit their DBs can get away with

apparently, not any more? so good Sherman got called twice, now it'll get in his head.

not expecting these guys to be hands off entirely, all CB's 'touch' receivers. but its to the extent Seattle does it.

Two things going on here. First, Sherman is trying to stir the pot, cause that's what he does. Second, he's probably genuinely concerned that officials will start flagging him for his incessant holds. He's still a good CB, but his physicality (read: holding) is what makes him elite.

also, we always see receivers being "physical" themselves. so its not ONLY Sherman and Maxwell

it comes down to who gets 'caught', and who doesn't? who hides it better? it'll never really be equal.

:agree:

Like I said before, his game is 90% holds and PI. He is scared that they might start calling him.

He also took a shot at Anquan Boldin, who he sparred with verbally and physically on Sunday: “When it’s so rare that you catch a ball, you’ve got to celebrate it.”

This guy is such an ass, i think he would marry himself if he could.
