Whatever. I've seen Pat Peterson and Sherman play, I'll take Sherman. Neon Deion also said Sherman is the best in game and his opinion is probably the most valuable out there (considering he's widely considered the best to ever play the position).

Also saw on the ticker the PP will no longer be playing offense or returning punts.

Yes and Peterson is always on the #1 receiver. Sherman is not. Sherman is also surrounded by more defensive talent.

Sherman initiated this particular twitter beef with the retweet about TDs allowed. So it would appear Sherman immediately felt the need to "call up" Peterson.

I hear this BS all the time in defending PP. If that is the case, shouldn't our #2 CB, Maxwell be getting lit up by all of the #1's he has to face?

Peterson is a much more talented defense than most.

And he is not "always" on the #1. More than Sherman, yes, but 55% is not always.

And how is that an excuse for giving up 7x more TDs? Seriously, that's just a lame excuse.

That's the flawed logic in everyone's argument against Sherman.

The Seahawk's defense works because of the scheme and the players playing their role and doing it effectively. Why should Sherman go against his team's scheme? So he can appease fans and doubters like you?

Lol at the end of the day Sherman cares about winning. The Seahawks defense works perfectly with the role Sherman is playing. When he is needed to follow and shadow a receiver (like week 2 on Boldin after Boldin had just gone for 208 yards) he does it and he completely shuts them down (1 catch 7 yards for Boldin)

If you really think Sherman is one dimensional you haven't truly watched him play.

because our defense is the best in the league (was last year) playing the way it did. See superbowl domination vs best offense in league history.

Sherm eliminates the entire left side of the field. Brees, Kap and Manning through to that side of the field a combined 8 times in the playoffs......................

and? So he retweeted something someone else said. Big deal. The fact of the matter here is Sherman is a better CB than PP, Numbers prove this. In less passing attempts against Sherman he has more INT's and more Passes Defended. PP is a great Athlete and a very good CB but he is no Sherman. PP will get his chance to get on Sherman's level or he will just cake walk now that he got paid, this is the big test for both these players now.
