I mean I hope I am wrong but either way I don’t like Sanders. If Ward doesn’t go 1 I can live with that or Dart in late 1st or 2nd. A lot of pressure on any FO picking a qb top 5.
Trading back to acquire more picks is a nice plan if you draft well.
I can live with plan B but those fail far more (late round 1 or round 2) than QBs taken at #2.....but that's not a reason to take one at 2 for sure.

He had a Heisman WR to make him look good at Jackson St. That's called daddy ball.

Jackson State wasn't a good program when Sanders got there.

And Hunter wasn't a Heisman WR at Jackson St. Is there any other bullshit/lies you wanna spout?

And when Sanders got to CU the Buffs were one of the worst programs in the country.

Always a great laugh when hater shares his two cents and doesn't even know what he's saying. Keep up that good work.

Sheduer won't sniff Bo Nix rookie numbers.

That sounds familiar. I also agree with the thought that he purposely tanked several interviews. But NY seems to be a place where daddy would give his approval. I only said that because deion did say he would try to steer his players to good situations. Not sure what would be a good situation at the top of most any draft.

Good situation n top of the drop are 2 things that surely don't go together. I'm giddy that the Skins seemed to get it right, but now comes the hard part. They aren't sneaking up on anybody this year.

OK.....but what if he's better than the vast majority of others who did not sniff Nix numbers (including Drake Maye who many think had a nice rookie season)?

Some just do it much better than others... That's what tends to set them apart...
It’s such a mental position, if you have it upstairs you don’t need speed or a great arm, just make the right decisions, then of course accuracy counts …

Pretty much what LeCharles Bentley said a lot......said want a great OL? Find a QB who is smart, accurate and makes quick decisions.

I mean - this is kind of a half-truth. You are right he wasn't a Heisman guy, but I believe Hunter was the top ranked kid in his class. His kid was a high 4*. Sanders was able to recruit high 3*, 4*, and a 5* to a program that played in a conference/division with kids who had barely 1*-2* on average. Of course they ended up winning a lot of games. It wouldn't take a lot of coaching to do this - sometimes when the other team is so overloaded with talent - it really doesn't matter much. I feel that this was largely the case when he was at JSU.

Similar path at Colorado. Yes, they had been horrible for years...but in year 1 in a down PAC12 - they won 4 games. Now, this year - they did better at 9-4, and 7-2 in conference - but B12 also had a pretty down year in football overall - and it took several 'miracle' moments for Colorado to win a few of their games. Sanders has them on the right track, but we'll see what he can do without his kid at QB, and a former 5*/Heisman guy at WR (along with a very good WR corps).

We'll see how Colorado does this year, if they can continue or build off their 9 win season last year - I think more will come around on his coaching...but if they falter and end up back to 4-5 wins...I think it's fair to question a bit of how Sanders does things. I'm not sure there's enough either way yet to know for sure just how good of a coach he is (or isn't).

As for his kid at QB - not sold. Watched a fair amount of B12 games this year with Cincinnati now in the B12...I would have a lot of questions about the scheme they ran (tons of 3 yards or less passes or behind the LOS) - and the lack of plays that required him to actually drop back and process/read a defense. While he's able to move around in the pocket well, and extend plays - he's far from what you would call a runner. In the right scheme, I think he could do well - I could see a lot of Tua in his game...but, I think he would hugely benefit from landing in a place that could offer him a year of learning the NFL game/processing from the pocket. I think his floor is probably higher than most may think, but I'm not sold that he's got a high ceiling. Time will tell.

I still think he'll go to Cleveland #2, assuming Dad gives the approval (lol).

What I will say about Sanders, is his football IQ and leadership is TREMENDOUS... which is exactly what Cleveland needs at the moment. Sadly because of Watson they'll suffer massive cap hits over the next 3 years (this, plus cut and spread over 2 in 2026)... it's unfortunate they wont be able to utilize that cap to help him more.

That could be tough. They haven't exactly been a QB friendly franchise.
He's already shown he has approved.....and this regime kind of has been QB friendly for those not named Watson. Seems other QBs play to expectations or even beyond. Got Brissett and Flacco paid, too.

THIS regime and they did not draft Baker and certainly not Couch. Only QB they drafted was round 5. as to Baker, though? when he was healthy, yes, he did play at or above expectations.

want to connect them with Kosar, too? How about Otto Graham?

Perhaps, but Sanders didn't have 3 senior seasons to prep for the jump.
Yeah I mean everyone forgets Jayden and Bo were old guys in college. They were supposedly NFL ready guys. I don't think everyone feels the same about Shedeur bc he played at Jackson St for 2 years
