True. I agree with what they tried to do last year, it just didn't work. Fortunately, no one on this team is locked up to any long term deals, so the Lakers can still re-make the roster over the next couple of seasons.

In that regard, the front office has done well. Lakers need to get healthy so they can see what they've got and what they need.

Not only does this get the Lakers closer to the luxury tax threshold, this opens a roster spot for potential trades. A trade of Pau likely brings back a couple players in order to match salaries.
