As someone said, he's talking about the style of play, Lebron, often times, prefers to defer and get teammates involved, as did Magic. Kobe wants to take the shot, even if a teammate may have a better one. They have a different mentality and I think that's what Shaq is alluding to in his comment.
Interestingly, on Dan Patrick this morning, Reggie Miller was asked the same question Shaq was. Would you rather play with Kobe in his prime or Lebron in his? Reggie said Kobe. He said it for the reason you basically described. He said it's because "Kobe is a killer."
