i'd like to have seen their dinner bill.
or their bar tab.

I think he might have made the top 5, but believe he would have been between the 5 and 10 - Shaq did have injuries a lot and seldom played all 82 games. Kobe had to carry him and the team some each year - but If Shaq had worked on it - who knowsHe would definitely have made top 5. At that point where you rank him depends on a lot on 'ships which of course are a team accomplishment.
389 stone. Lol
Them Brits do love their fatass centers that can't shoot fer shit.
I hope you had to look that up.LOL. I'm thinking this was a part of the joke, but 389 stones is actually over 5,000 pounds.
the zebs let him get away with a lot of physical play too.
chamberlain looks quite a bit stronger.
I hope you had to look that up.
Or as good as Hakeem.
No non ball handler has a chance at GOAT. Or Top 5.
Shaq was a giant. That's it. Couldn't shoot, couldn't dribble.
Shaq fans I'm sure won't agree.
Name a professional sport that is 'pure sport' and not entertainment
If sources are to be believed, Wilt was likely much stronger than Shaq. Wilt was said to have been able to deadlift 625 pounds, bench press 450 pounds, and clean and jerk 375 pounds. Also, I can't remember which old NBA big man it was who told the story, but supposedly Wilt lifted him out of the lane with one hand. Not sure I believe that, but I guess the point was that he was freakishly strong.
looks pretty buff for a 55 year old. he had some hops to go along with that strength too.
Wilt was also a champion high jumper and he could run the 400 meter dash in 49 seconds. Truly a freak athlete.
No he wouldn't - Shaq wasn't the first or last player that missed a few calls onHe’d still be the goat if the NBA called his games by the rule book.
It just would’ve been a boring and completely unwatchable product.
But it proves the nba is sports entertainment, not pure sport.

And how many point guards have you seen guarding a 7 foot center in the last 20 years, that could actually defend?Yes he would. Because he'd have points guards guarding him by halftime.

Please enlighten me
Pretty much everyone has agreed with this over the years. Including Shaq.
But hey, at least you made an unnecessary thread to tell us what we already knew.
I get it - and quite frankly - I thought Shaq was a great player, but injuries and health in my opinion restricted him some. Top ten player of all time - YES. Top 5 - No and I think anyone who says that is flat out stupidyou just don't it.
Point flies right over your head.
Skillwise...Shaq is probably the 4 rated big in my opinion...behind Akeem, Wilt, Kareem.
He dominated largely because of his size...he was just so much bigger and more physical than the competition...the league sort created the unspoken, Shaq rules...just beat the hell out of him and hope he gets frustrated...the refs just rolled with it.
Which resulted in many false outcomes.
Because no one could actually guard him within the rules.
The product would've been horrible to watch, but in a real sport and not sports entertainment Shaq basically catches Red by himself.
