Nope, saw it clearly. It should have been obvious who I was talking about. Citing some selection process as justification didn't change it. But you decided to miss the point that you already gave the perfect counter to your own stance anyway when YOU said they have put undeserving people in there in the past.

I personally don't think Davis should be in the HOF and there are plenty of other backs I'd choose before him. He had 2 good years and 2 great years. This isn't enough IMO. But since he's an analyst on the NFL network I'm sure he gets in. I think Bettis was a bit overrated but he does have longevity on his side.

Calling people names really helps make your case for you.

He played for a very long time on pretty good teams and had marginal stats. Didn't think he was the top in the league at the time he played and the hall is supposed to be for people who are thought to be great even years after they retire.

It's just an opinion. Why are you people so fucking defensive and derisive about it? Grow up and accept that not everyone will agree. Not like it matters that much anyway. He's still going to be in either way.

I don't know this is kind of tough, he has the stats but its based only on his longevity. Is it the hall of longevity or hall of fame cause when you're not a top 5 player in any year of your career it's kind of tough to say he deserves to be in.

LOL! Way to bring up ancient history that has zero relevance. Bettis has questionable HOF numbers. You homers just can't handle admitting it.

Bettis is in. Congrats to him. Pace and Warner were better players at their positions than he was. In fact I would say several others fit that bill also. It goes to show that the whole HOF voting procedure is flawed.
