Bettis over Davis is a sham. TD had 2x the playoff stats in half as many games.
“It doesn’t matter what size or what your attributes are, if you can last 13 years as a running back it’s amazing. One of the things about Jerome it wasn’t like he sat on the bench those 13 years. He was always a premiere player and most of the time a starter. For him to be able to carry the load that long, and do it so well, the guy has to get in the Hall of Fame. He really should be in the Hall of Fame in my opinion.”

GREAT graphic. TD was huge and should get in, Bettis was great too, even as a stealer hater, he probably deserves it. Edgar Martinez for Baseball HOF? Similar.TD postseason stats

Pick one for one year. Go ahead and tell me Bettis. So i can discount you as a total fool
How about 2 for 1 since Bettis doubled his NFL career ...
May as well take Gale Sayers out. Since, you know he had a short career and all. This isn't the hall of longevity, it's the hall of fame. Where only the best of the best belong, which Bettis never was
So answer my original question. One year, who do you take?
But he was nor ever will be the Bus.
Why the hell would he want to be? Bettis played 13 years and averaged over 4ypc 4 of them. Faulk averaged under 4 YPC 3 of them and averaged over 5 3 times. And he was one of the best receiving RB's of all time on top of it. I don't understand how Bettis gets any sort of HOF attention because he was a solid power RB for a while. He was never great but he did the job you'd expect of him for a long period of time. If you're going to do this lame HOF thing then I think that expecting a little more than above average for a long period of time as being the criteria.
See my post above... I already stated that TD was the more dynamic playmaker. Never tried to argue that.
One year: Davis
Career: Bettis
I prefer a franchise to be based off of longevity (career), not just a single season.

Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell, Travis Henry, Mike Bell and Rueben Droughns are all grinning ear to ear right now, because even THEY know who the true HOF'er really is. Open a book and learn somethin, kid.
Longevity for what? Bettis only got one SB in his 13 years. TD got 2(in a much, much shorter career) and was the primary reason for those 2 SBs. Can the same be said about Bettis?
Quit cherry picking your stats...
Sure TD was great in his own right, and yes he won more SBs... But still doesn't dismiss the fact that Jerome Bettis carried this franchise for a long time by himself. Terrell Davis had JOHN FUCKING ELWAY for fucks sake... Your argument about him being the primary reason for those 2 SBs is absolute bullshit when you have that QB.
