All that said, MAN this show is graphic!!! Was going to wait and have this be one I watched with my wife, but with all the boobs flying around and gratuitous sex? Nah, I'll save it for myself... LOL!!!

Yeah, my wife was listening during the non NSFW moments and said. "That show sound like something I could get into" (We have rarely found a show to watch together). And she totally would have LOVED the show, with maybe 10% of the nudity and maybe 75% of the blood. Bummer.

Excellent idea.

I will say this. There is one character missing from your list. You will add this character after Season 4. And by the end of Season 5, you will look back at Joffery as a Boy Scout in comparison. I can assure you.

That might be a stretch. Both are complete dicks but I think that Joffery still wins by a nose in the complete dillhole race in my book.

Done with first episode of Season 4... Yeah, I'm glad you guys said something about Fabio's replacement, because that would have definitely thrown me for a loop... Guess Michael Bolton wasn't available?

Anyway, kind of interested to see where Jaime goes from here. Tywin disowns him? I didn't think that was what he did, but Jaime said he did, so... I guess when he said, "See how far you get as a man with one hand and no family." was him doing so, but I thought it was more of a threat...

And Cersei? About to lower her down to a 1 on the likability scale (Though still in the 8 1/2 range on the lickability scale. ;) ). Pretty cold to tell Jaime that he "Took too long" getting back to King's Landing. WTF? How was he supposed to get back any quicker? Oh well...

I like how the relationship between The Hound and Arya is developing... Arya seemed to derive WAY too much pleasure in killing that Pulsiver dude, but I guess after he needlessly killed her friend, I could see it... Like how Sandor first tells Arya basically that there's no way in hell he'd give her her own horse and then after killing the men in the tavern you see them riding off with Arya on her own horse... The Hound moves up a notch or two on the scale...

If I'm Tyrion, I get out of Oberyn's way and let him go to town on some of my family, but that doesn't seem to be his way... Feel bad that Sansa really really hates him. I mean he could be a nasty person and be bedding her every night against her will, but he's really trying to be a good dude...

Wondering the significance of the dragons becoming less and less docile... Guess that comes into play down the road somewhere? We'll see.

Not sure how Jon Snow and the boys intend to defend against the Wildlings and the cannibal dudes that just joined them...

Sansa is an immature twat. She loved Joffrey, despite how he treated her and her friend. She hates Tyrion, despite the fact he actually displays honor and doesn't bed her against her will.

At this stage in the story, she was probably my #1 most unliked character (as in, I wanted her gone - Tywin and Cersei and Joffrey were more dislikable, but were deliciously unlikeable).

I don't know... Joffery had his henchmen to the bulk of his dirty work. Our new contestant doesn't mind wiping his knife and going right back to his meal.

They are both excellent candidates, but for me the difference is Joffery's sense of entitlement that put him over the top. He certainly believes that he was better than literally everyone just because his inbred royal family keeps telling him so.

The other candidate is just as bad or possibly even worse in some respects but he certainly has quite the opposite in regards to sticking his nose in the air and ordering everyone around. In fact I kind of respect him for being willing to get his hands dirty by comparision to Joffery.

Yeah, she's insufferably immature really... I hope she comes around at some point. Honestly hope she warms up to Tyrion, but now Shae is driving hard to the hoop, and looks like one of Cersei's hoes saw her leaving Tyrion's room... Ruh Roh...

Yes, she is insufferably immature but it is a key part to her character and later growth.

Her actions are also dictated in trying to stay alive. She is at least smart enough to keep her mouth shut and her head down as she knows that any subversive action most likely end with her head joining her father's on the chopping block.

Okay, well I want to talk about this damn show but since everyone else has watched 6 seasons of it and I have just finished watching season 1? I will talk to myself... YES THERE ARE SPOILERS IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND HAVEN'T WATCHED!!! And I'm just gonna spout off random thoughts as I go along so...

-Cool show and I'm enjoying it... One thing that I find truly ballsy about it from the vantage point of the producers is killing off two of their most likeable and well-developed characters in the first season...

-I figured Ned as like the "Rick Grimes" character that would be with us for the entire show... Oops... And Drogo? Awww man... That sucked! However, I can see the "Phoenix Rising from the Ashes" on that one with Daenerys...

-Speaking of Daenerys, I liked her from the start and her development obviously has a TON of plot invested in it and obviously the birth of the dragons comes into major play down the road.

-Yes, the death of Viserys was probably my favorite moment of Season 1... Little whiney bitch! :D

-This show does an excellent job of making me go back and forth on liking or disliking characters... I have a good sense of empathy, so I can usually see things from the eyes of particular characters and understand their motivations... As of now, however, I hate the Lannisters and don't see them being very redeemable. The lone exception being Tyrion (The Imp). Very artfully done character. You hate him when he's mingling with those outside his family, and I actually kind of like him/feel sorry for him when he's WITH his family... Very complex character. Well done.

-Back to Daenerys for a moment... I can see her being the one to root for in all of this, but can also see her turning over into a vengeful douche... But as of now I'm still on her side.

-Robb... JUST KILL JAIME ALREADY!!! This is the plot piece that is going to drive me nuts I think... Joffrey lopped off your father's head and you have the wunderkind of the Lannisters held captive. SEND HIS HEAD TO JOFFREY AND CERSEI ... Ugh... Jaime is gonna be that fucker who lives that you just hate hate hate and can't wait for him to die, isn't he?

-Jon Snow... Eh, the Wall Arc is kind of the least interesting at the moment, but looks like it picks up next season...

-Baelish... Oh this dude's smug little court jester face needs to be re-arranged. Dude's appearance just screams "WEASEL!!!"... And I guess by selling out Ned, he pretty much IS a weasel..

-Cersei - Very unlikable at the moment of course... All this because you're doing your twin brother? Really?!!!

-Joffrey - Obviously the resident f**kstick of the show. This is what happens when you don't spank your children... Anything short of an eventual drawing and quartering will be a MAJOR disappointment.

-Sansa - She's going to sell out her family to be queen still, isn't she?... She still seems conflicted even though she watched Joffrey have her father executed and then made her stare at his head on a pike...

-Arya - She's going to develop into a little ass-kicker methinks...

Catelyn - Honestly, she's important, but I don't much care what happens to her...

Robb - I want him to win of course, but I think he's the least developed of the main characters. is that because he isn't going to be around long? Or is the entire point of Ned's death to bring him for the forefront? Don't know, but in the early going I frankly had him confused with the other three brothers/bastards and half-brothers in Winterfell... But hey, he's now "King of the North", so... Go Robb!!!

All that said, MAN this show is graphic!!! Was going to wait and have this be one I watched with my wife, but with all the boobs flying around and gratuitous sex? Nah, I'll save it for myself... LOL!!!

Oh, and Tyrion's Ho is the hottest at the moment... I like how he's defying Tywen and bringing her to King's Landing anyway... :D

Haha. Sweet summer child, you know nothing.

It's a great show, you'll really enjoy it.

But candidate number two has his superiority complex birthed from his clear INFERIORITY complex.

Oh yeah, I definitely get that she's been in full survival mode. Was amazed she opened up to Margaery and her mother (Forget her name, but she's awesome...) and told them Joffrey was a "monster"... Wondering what Margaery intends to do with that information?

Anyway, obviously Sansa doesn't trust Tyrion yet...

And then there's Ollie who I think we a can all agree should have been brutally murdered from the beginning along with his parents.

That was actually Margery's grandmother, the Queen of Thorns. And yeah she's pretty great.

Thank you... I think the threads purpose implies that the OP (That would be me) has not watched the entire series...

Season 4 Episode 2...

Ahhhh the moment I've been waiting for!!! Yes, I enjoyed watching the little shit choke out his last breath and his eyes bleed and all that good stuff, but I think I still wanted something more epic on a grander scale. And can't even enjoy it THAT much because it looks like Tyrion is getting blamed for it.

LOVED the exchange between Loras and Jaime...

Jaime: (Re: Cersei) "You're never going to marry her."

Loras: Heh, well neither are you.

Simple discourse, but hysterical none the less...

Guess we'll see on how they sort all of this out with line of succession. Joffrey and Margaery were officially married, right? Do the Tyrells have any claim at all? Who's after Joffrey? A Lannister or a Baratheon (Even though technically Joffrey was never a Baratheon, but whatever. They had to claim he was to install him as King in the first place, so...)...

I see it as strengthening Stannis' claim, but wonder who the Lannisters counter with... Tywin? Jaimie? Can't imagine Tyrion... Does Tyrion accelerate Cersei and Loras' wedding and install them on the throne?

Crazy...

And I think the mystery psycho gig is up... If it's Ramsay you're referring to, yeah he was obviously a sick f**k from the word go, but I didn't list him in my character list because he was still a minor character at that point and we barely knew who he was... Hunting that girl in the woods like she was game? Good stuff.

Anyway, next episode looks like it'll be good. Daenarys going after the last "slave city"...

(Even assuming that one accepts the Lannisters claims that Cersei's children are Robert's...)

The Tyrells have no claim.

Westeros legally (I put emphasis on the word "legally" because "might makes right": if one has sufficient soldiers, power, etc., one can ignore the law and seize the crown regardless of legal right) follows agnatic primogeniture, except for Dorne, which follows absolute primogeniture.

Legally, that means, regardless of her marriage, Margaery will never be in the line of succession. Same goes for Cersei, who was legally never in the line of succession regardless of her marriage to previous king Robert Baratheon.

Joffrey's younger brother Tommen "Baratheon" is next in line after Joffrey. Tommen has an older sister, Myrcella, but he comes before her according to the succession laws because he is male.

After Tommen is where things get tricky. Different variants of primogeniture have differed on whether a dynast's daughter would come before his brother. Because of a disastrous previous succession civil war caused by half-siblings (one female, one male) fighting over the throne, Targaryen precedent had settled toward women only being allowed to inherit if the male line was entirely extinct.

If following the Targaryen precedent, then after Tommen is Stannis Baratheon, as Robert's brother, though, of course, the Lannisters would never accept him and would want to install Myrcella instead.

Gotcha. Trying to remember where Tommen is at this point...

Tommen didn't appear in Season 3 but was back with a new actor in Season 4, so you may not have recognized him but he was at Joffrey's wedding.

When Joffery died, I was like "Yes! Take that you slimy little shithead!"

Then I realized that loved to hate him so much that I actually missed him!
