the voice on the phone was in fact Don Cheadle. So Roadie is a Skrull. But how long has he been a Skrull? One theory is that the casting change symbolized his replacement. That is certainly retconning, but it is a fun theory.

Another theory is that we are actually watching 2 different “Fury”s so far. One is the real Fury while the other is a Skrull. I am not sure I buy into this one, but it too is a fun theory that makes SOME sense.

Best I can tell thats the perfect moment. There is a lot that points to Cheadle being a Skrull, though, so thats a thing. I'd imagine thats why Fury is so upset after their one-on-one conversation and really why Fury walks away looking like he lost in the first place. If he thought Cheadle was legit there is no way he'd let him win that conversation.

I'm not sure I think there are 2 Furys. I wouldn't be stunned if Maria Hill was still alive, though. I suspect maybe her death has been confirmed somewhere but I haven't looked.

”Skrull Rhodey“ called Fury “Nick” during that exchange. Fury knew he was Skrull by the time that convo ended.

There is a theory that the glasses Fury wears are like the glasses from They Live, where he sees Skrulls without their disguise.

Thats sad considering the cast they had to work with.

I think I'll get around to watching the rest of this at some point but i suspect if I dont see it before Ahsoka then its probably not going to get watched.

Overall, it was an OK show, but it was also disappointing. The content should have delivered a much better final product. And the final fight was VERY frustrating, on many levels.

1) why give him the serum if you are planning on fighting/killing him anyway? It just (theoretically) made him stronger.

2) Typical MCU treatment of a female hero. She is SUPER strong with no recognizable weaknesses and she didn’t do anything to earn her powers. We don’t know a lot about Gaia yet, so I am willing to be proven wrong moving forward, but so far, she is only strong because she took randomly took a serum. At Least Rogers had the inner strength before he went through the Super Soldier transformation, and even then, his REAL power is his inner purity, not his physical strength (He CAN lift the hammer, but chooses not to because that is Thor’s thing)

3) As has been mentioned, the whole thing lead to humanity losing anyway. The Skrull and the Cree are about to form an alliance, and both will look unfavorably on the Terrans (“Human “ seems too generic, and I think the word “Terran” exists in the MCU). And there really wasn’t a good reason for not calling in any of the big guns outside of wanting to make this a SLJ vehical.

I think I'll get around to watching the rest of this at some point but i suspect if I dont see it before Ahsoka then its probably not going to get watched.

Olivia Colman was really good in her role but other than that, its a waste. I'd wait until you have literally nothing else to watch. It's so bad that I wouldn't be surprised if they just ignore it in other MCU movies/shows so it might not even have that much impact.

I think it will have quite a bit of impact. You know that Thunderbolt Ross will be the President soon, and the team Thunderbolts will be formed, likely to fight aliens on Earth (at least that will be their public purpose). Also, Rhodey will have an increased presence moving forward, and you gotta think this experience will weigh heavy on him moving forward.

He is typically a cinema fanboy, so to see him do a hatchet job is pretty jarring.
