Seriously when Klim Kostin and Nick Bjugstad are tied for third (we obviously know who 1 and 2 are) in scoring for your forwards. Yeah you don't have a chance.

You can't fault McDavid and Draisaitl, they played a great series. They just didn't have much help.

and the fans still probably think they are the best team in the NHL just having those guys. well that is ANOTHER year of those guys wasted.. McDavid will be a UFA at the end of the 2025-26 season so they better hope the cap goes up significantly to hopefully sign some depth to help those guys. I do not feel bad for this team at all. Seems pretty clear that Woodcroft is only surviving because he has those 2 guys. it is like a free job knowing they will score 200+ points between the 2 of them alone

It's a real mystery to me why they can't seem to generate much offense 5-on-5 though, I mean McDavid is a cheat code in my eyes. Adin Hill certainly was the best goalie in the series and the Knights are a very underrated team, they get contributions up-and-down the lineup and their defense is big and mobile.

Man, was I wrong when I said that paying Draisaitl 8.5 million per season was an overpayment, that guy has delivered and then some. The question is what is he going to be asking for when that contract is up at the end of the 2024-25 season?
