Oilers in 7 but I flipped a coin. Vancouver should win this but they’re going to need to shoot more than 4 times a period.

Dom's model at the Athletic gives the Canucks a 26% chance of advancing. I think the Demko absence is the main reason, but if Silovs can continue to provide the type of goaltending we saw against Nashville, I think the Canucks will advance.

/If the officials are whistle happy and fall for all the Oilers antics though, then I could see the Oilers advancing.

Got zero problem cheering for the Canucks here. Great city, great(uh, ish, most of the time) people, a good mix of ex-Flames and players that are easy to cheer for.

Also, Edmonton is trash. Anyone who cheers for them is an Oiler fan first. No actual Flames fan would debase themselves in that way.

I don't know if this is much better than Singh to be honest, Cuthbert spent a lot of time in Edmonton previously calling Oilers games along with Eskimos (now Elks) games. Besides, Shorty calls a better pxp than Cuthbert these days (Chris isn't exactly a young guy anymore).

I don't know if you have read any of his political stuff (a better word is drivel), but you're bang on with your post above. He's not as extreme as Theo Fleury, but he's on the same path.
