You can't have his head in the wrong place going into game 5. Grub is the only reason they are this deep as it is. We've all seen what it looks like when his head isn't straight and it's not playoff worthy. If nothing else give him some rest and get Jones' blood flowing.
what was the explanation? did they say he had a chance to re-set?
I can help here, Jared. This:
This is goaltender interference. Still say the review room needs a goalie in there.
maybe they didnt buy the reaction/jump by Grubauer ... seemed excessive to me ... the bump that happens after he does re-set is outside the crease

if I heard correctly during intermission, even milquetoast Kelly thought that was a good goal lolYeah, I think that covers it - If the contact is outside the crease, unless the player mows down the goalie, it's tough to wipe out the goal. Benn certainly does impede Grubby's glove so I can see why the Kraken are upset, but again it is outside the crease.
But the initial contact happened inside the crease and pushed Grubby out of position. Yes, he tried to sell it but by the words of the rule he was unable to play his position due to contact inside the crease. Shouldn't matter that he moved back, prior to the shot he shouldn't have been pushed out there to begin with.Yeah, I think that covers it - If the contact is outside the crease, unless the player mows down the goalie, it's tough to wipe out the goal. Grubauer is fine, he didn't even really fall apart. This series is where the first round series was at going back on the road, no reason to think they won't bounce back from that loss and the rest of the series won't be a wild finish either way.Either way, a single goal that maybe shouldn't have been turned into two goals with the failed challenge at least partially because grubby was not refocused after not getting that call and instead of pulling him after giving up the 4th, they left him in and he ended up giving up a 5th also because he didn't mentally recover.
One goal ended up turning into 3.
If he doesn't find a way to get back into the focus/groove he was in throughout this playoff so far they will lose the next two.
This all feels like we are playing with house money anyway. We aren't a long suffering franchise desperately trying to find relevancy like, say the Mariners.Grubauer is fine, he didn't even really fall apart. What I'm trying to say is, I don't like your attitude.
Going to say Stars in 6
