Video circulating of Eat Bread and Backlund in a hotel elevator being harrassed by Oilers fans. The video ends with one of the guys following Backlund and showing his room number.

So uncool.

You know what I also thought was uncool? Woodcroft calling a timeout up by three goals late in period 3. What, they have no confidence in Koskinen that they wanted the time to bring Smith back? Flames have plenty of motivation in addition to being embarrassed by the Oilers for game 4.

No need to pipe up every time you see anything happen in a hockey game, you imbecile. Everyone is well aware that you would love any job besides the one you have wrangling carts in a Wal Mart parking lot.

Just saw the video of an Oilers fan riding up the elevator with Backlund and Eat Bread and following them up to their hotel room. Between all the stuff over the last couple of days and the general hubris coming out of Edmonton, if we don't see a fired up Flames team tonight, I'm going to be very disappointed.

to say this is the most important game of the season for the Flames is an understatement. Survive the first 10 mins and they should be ok.

Markstrom is showing signs of why I am happy we kept Demko.

You guys kept Demko because he's the younger guy who is just entering the prime of his career versus Marky who obviously is still a top flight netminder in this league (up for the Vezina this year), but has struggled in this series. I see plenty of Flames fans throwing Marky under the bus as well and I can say is did you see all those odd-man rushes in game 3? Flames played like baby poo and if not for Markstrom it could have been a 8-1 final.
Get a win tonight and the series is tied 2-2 and the Flames wrestle home ice back. Hopefully, plenty of hockey still to be played in this series.

I'll just say I think Tanev should've been nominated for the Norris.

I don't disagree, but he had nowhere near the points required to be considered for the Norris which is essentially what that trophy has become.

Wish we could have an Orr trophy for defenseman points and leave the Norris for actual defenders.

Also a Gretzky trophy for assists.

Man, all things being equal, if the Pens still had a Tanev on their roster, they'd still be in these playoffs, and fewer 1st round exits over the last couple of years.

this, by the way is why i was pushing for trading Tanev to the Leafs for a few years before his UFA.
your cupboard was full at forward, and he was EXACTLY what you were missing.
You could have, and should have, paid a shit-ton for him.

Leafs tried to trade Kadri for Brodie. Wouldn't have shocked me had they tried that deal for Tanev as well and it didn't work out for whatever reason.....

...probably this one.

Either of those trades would've been better than what the Leafs got for Kadri, that much is for sure, not that I hold this one against Dubas much.

Don't forget the Cindy trophy for secondary assists and ENGs.

Could it be...the return of a certain defenseman?
