Playing devil's advocate here, but none of those truck control measures would have stopped him from driving the truck into the crowd. :noidea:

True. But we don't know how many people have been denied access to a truck that had thoughts of driving it into a crowd due to those controls. It's a start.

OK Keanu Reeves, I'll play. Do we really know that those measures would not have stopped this guy? I mean if this guy had to insure all 33 guns he bought in the last year he might just not bothered due to expense. He was an accountant which means he was probably a cheap fu...er, a frugal individual. The cost of insuring 33 trucks would certainly reduce my impetus for building a fleet.

Just playing the devil's prosecutor here. :suds:

So given the generally accepted rule that it takes about 18 months for significant government policy changes to impact macroeconomic data, we can all agree that Obama did a pretty great job bringing back the U.S. economy. ;)

Related, I didn't even know manufacturing enthusiasm level was a measurement we used.

RIP Ralphie May

I recall on a Roast Battle (Jeff Ross show) one of his competitors brought up his ongoing divorce.
the line was "why would she take half your shit now, when she could just wait six months and get it all"
